It's such a pleasure to support good detailed material like this. I had a maybe-relevant idea that I liked when I repaired a couple of glider lines. To make double sure I wouldn't forget to kite the wing thoroughly to check the repair, when I bagged up the glider after the line repair I "sealed" my drawstring with some painter's tape with a "check repair before flying" note to myself.

Nice Mark, I definitely want to do a line replacement video at some point!

Thanks for this information. I can see why I am not ready for this but it is good to know about it for future reference. Great stuff.

Glad it was helpful, Wayne! And I hope it is in the future as well 😊

I enjoy 2d steering. I purchased my 4th glider with it tied in. I was more worried than should have been. However, I had no baseline reference (as I intended), for how 2d effects it differently. I also love my old glider that doesnt even have tip lines seperate. I notice the 2d steering line length is very precise. Thanks for another informative vid. YOu can always tell the pilots that have had a (real world)lesson or two. They know how to tie and replace glider lines without much thought.

Curious which gliders come with it tied in already? Guessing it’s ~ C category wings? I’m pretty sure the new Sirocco comes with it tied.
      Cheers man!

@@liftedppg4370 I ordered my ITV piper with tips tied in. I had the option to choose type of toggle and tie in for it. My guess is its an ENB, but I'd have to recheck. I've vids of when I got the Piper, on my channel. I LOVE my piper. So much so, I have a piper tandem here too, just waiting to be unfolded. Glad to see you're doing well Micah. I always enjoyed your content and calm way of teaching. I'll be at your old stomping grounds this weekend.

Are you still alive man? It's been 11 months from your last video. I really was looking forward to your content

Still here! Just a change of priorities. Making some content for AviatorShow these days as I am back with Aviator - stay tuned on that channel. Just put out a concertina fold edit on there 🫶🏻

Thanks. How about a video about how to use 2D steering when flying? When/how to use / some exercises to follow? Is there some usage for starting with one type of input and transitioning to the other?

Question- why aren’t you recommending to add 2-3” to the mark from factory and working your way tighter like in aviators video? Is this original black dot usually the sweet spot where you end up after slowly tightening the slack? I thought the sweet spot would still be a little above the original dot from factory regardless tho no? Thank you!

It definitely depends on the wing you have, and I think that suggestion is a good one. On the Kona I’ve found that I needed to actually tighten them quite a bit to get them where I like them, but keeping them a bit slack at first is a wise call.

Are you in Florida? Weather has been shit for finding time to fly
