I am bit sceptical about awarding full 1000 points to every scorer, irrespective of the position of the shot. Of course, some spectacular long shots can be lucky and also being in the right place at the right time would make a goal appear easier that it was, however I don't think that all goals can be treated as equal in terms of evaluation. I would think more of taking into account the xG of each shot, and whether it ends up in a goal. So, for example, if a goal is scored from a xG position of 0.1, then the scorer would be awared 900 points, while for a goal scored from an xG position of 0.5, the scorer would be awared 500 points. The points contributing to the final shot (900 and 500 correspondingly) would then be 'shared' among the players participating in the possession chain according to their contribution.
