A very interesting spinning reel, and it cleaned up very nice and seems to work really well! Time to get it on a rod and put it to the test, I'll pray for better weather, spring has sprung! Take care and be safe!

Great video! There's a guy at our local flea market that has a vintage reel business. Like you he really enjoys finding them and restoring them. Always be "Semper Gumbie" 😉

Hey there!! Yes indeed, it’s a toss up as to what I love more. Finding them, fixing them, or using them. I’d have to say, it’s a package deal. The weather however, has kept me from the last one and it’s tickin’ me off!! 😂
I’m finding out I’m not alone in my hobbies, thanks to TH-cam.
      Thanks so much for watching!!

I have about 6 of them reels. I use them on my rods. My father loved them. They cast far, easy to clean/ oil. I get a lot of compliments from guys when fishing.. when they are clean and shiny or like new they are sharp looking reels.

      Hey there!
They are a very classy looking reel. I use mine when I’m casting some heavier lures. Not sure about yours but mine doesn’t like casting lighter baits. I can’t get the distance of cast out of it but as soon as I put a heavy crank bait, worm, or top water bait on there it does great.
Glad you’re out there still enjoying the old equipment, they’re definitely conversation starters when you’re out there using them. You always have to be prepared to answer questions!! lol
      Thanks for watching!! 🤠

Hi Willie, sorry I'm playing catch-up again.😊 It seems like I've become a chauffeur for my cousin. I love spending time with him, but it's hard on me sometimes. I don't have much family left, he would do the same for me.
B Positive is looking good and sounds alittle better. He's was made for the basket and rod holder. Was the reason he died out, was he just need to be warmed up? I know he did that rhe first video too. He sure does look alot more handsome than ours did, but we had a blast with it.😂
I didn't know there were so many pieces to reels. 😮 I guess, I just never thought about it. That's probably why we used Cane Poles. Mom and Dad used rods and reels. We all had a great time regardless, especially watching my little sister catch turtles. I don't know why, but never fish. 🤣
Wow, French made. I hope it works great. I'm waiting to see it in use. I hope Mother Nature takes her bipolar meds. soon, I'm tired of freezing. Lol.
Tell All, Hi for me and meow.
Take care, stay warm and safe till next time.
    ❤❤❤❤

You know, you could go Into a reel repair business for yourself and do quite well.

Lol, you’re right, the only problem with that is, I wouldn’t be doing it for “me” and then I’d have to set home working on other people’s stuff when I could be fishing.
Not to mention dealing with the public, ordering parts… etc… it would become “a job”…lol
I had the same issue with working on cars early on in my life, as well as guitars and bicycles.
It’s sad that it’s more dealing with the people or public that messes it all up for me. Especially in todays world of chronic complainers who use it to their advantage hoping to get something for nothing, then when it doesn’t happen, slamming you on social media, destroying your reputation.. so, I do it for me, I complain to “me”… and I don’t charge “me”… I do have the benefit of complaining about “me” on social media if necessary 😂.
