rachael Lawrence given the fact that A5 can cost up to $300 per pound (that’s just the cost from the butcher not including the mark up at restaurants) here in the US and the fact that she ate well over a pound of wagyu beef. I have to disagree and say that it was well worth the $100z
rachael Lawrence, I guess it’s understandable that you don’t think it’s worth it when you haven’t had any steak better than a hamburger steak with 30% fat content.

I don’t know why “some” restaurants advertise “all you can eat” but the second they see you eat more than they expected then the manager shows up at your table to specify some rules that are not printed in the menu... in other words, you’ve had enough.. now get out! LoL 😝
A lot of AYCE places I've been to have the 90min rule, so i rekon it's pretty standard. But yeah, I'd lose it if someone came up later and randomly told me that was a rule. I'd def take em to court Homer Simpson styles 😅

Depending on the prefecture and weigh of each steak, let’s say she ate 8oz steaks in this video and she ate the cheapest at $20/oz. $2240 for 14 steaks, although restaurant can probably get it for $4/lb from distributors.

I just bought 4 lbs A5 wagyu New York Strip steak for 330 USD,so $80 per lbs(16OZ),the size she ate looks like 1/4 of my 1lbs steak,so I guess 4oz per piece which she ate.And after I ate 16OZ,I told everyone I won't eat A5 wagyu in 3 months....Lol.....I think 8-10oz is enough for me

What a rip off they slow paced cooking the steak, easily i could eat 3 times more. I'd place a $200 order to have 2 cooks going at the same time so they keep up with me.
If you eat 2 of those A5 steaks, easily got $100 worth. She said it takes about 5 minutes to cook each steak. So time for 18 steaks. Plus, the fattiness of the steak makes you feel full faster (for a normal eater).

Most all-you-can-eat places do that. Still plenty of time to get your money’s worth. At Costco, they sometimes have 32oz of Japanese A5 Wagyu rib-eye for $100. Each of those steaks Raina had probably around 4oz. If she had 18 of them, she ate $225 worth (@costco price). At restaurant pricing, $400-$500 worth.
The goal is to enjoy a good meal, not to fucking eat food that could feed 8 people...
@@lajeandom LOL, at AYCE or Buffet, goal is to eat tons of food and eat at least 2x-4x what buffet cost. Eat only the expensive stuff and avoid salads, soups and fruits (because they fill you up and don’t cost much). If the food is high quality and tastes good, that’s a bonus.
Plates 1 & 2 crab, plates 3 & 4 prime rib (medrare of course), plate 5, sushi/sashimi, plate 6, Chinese food, plate 7 Italian and/or Mexican, plate 8 desserts. Finish with ice cream.
Or 18-20 pieces of Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye.

I liked when the chef started hooking Raina up with 2 at a time. A shame he didn't do it on the last round. Glad that they clearly can deal with people speaking English (and it would seem Korean as I hear someone greeting someone in Korean when Raina is eating her 14th). I'm pretty certain I couldn't keep going for the 75 minutes.
Reason for translator: Ginza has lots of way more expensive places that tourists have wandered into and freaked out when the presented with the bill. That place is really good value by Ginza standards.

Hey. I heard a comment you made about how raw the steak was but you were not too worried. You don't have to worry about it on solid meat such as steaks. I was raised on a beef cattle ranch in Oklahoma. The only time you have to possibly worry about salmonella is with ground up beef. The grinding and a nasty prep area when grinding up the meat causes that issue. It doesn't come in solid cuts. I would totally go there! It looks like it's right down my alley. I enjoy your video's as well!

That’s a good price, considering the steaks are thick and it’s cooked for you. Prefer medium done. Another restaurant is $130 the slices are thin and at selfgrill tables.

There's a time limit on 99% of the buffet/all you can eat in Japan, Hong Kong, China. Rent is very high and every business counts.

My friend was thrown out of an upper end chinese restaurant. Every Tuesday they had all you can eat buffet. you had to get there early or you waited outside. It was pretty much 7 PM until close at 10:30. He wouldn't gotten thrown out aside of the fact that he went every Tuesday and never missed it. He would take his wife and one or other of them would hold the table if one went to the rest room or stepped away for a bit. After about 4 months of this this manager blew up on him when he made one his step out side to get some air trips and came back in. the manager grabbed him and shoved him back out the door screaming, " you go now, you go and never never come back here!!!!! we make no money when you come here and you ruin for every body else if you no leave" lol Now my friend is one of those kind of guys. He has a great job and makes a good 80 or 90k a year but he is a tight ass. he went to. He actually tried to sue them for false advertisement and the lawyer told him that the restaurant manager was perfectly with in their rights to remove him because of the rare negative effect that his actions were causing.
This girl is hilarious she's talkin all through the video and she's on her 12th steak and I think she complained that the only thing is she has to wait in between steaks for them to cook another steak. I'm telling you when she leaves they are going to post a picture of her and tell all the employees if they see her coming close the shop down

A potage is when you mix a soupe in a blender .
A velouté is a potage that you make more creamy using butter, flour , cream and egg yolks.
In western EU we mostly call hot pots (Chinese Fondue) .
In France one of the top 5 soupe is (pot au feu) its a nice bouillon full of vegie and meats and marrow bones , sometimes even beef tales , its surved with a vinegry type of mustard on the side in some places !

I just found this video, but I wish I could be there with you! I've only been to Japan once and that was way back in 1973 when I was there on a High School Exchange Program! I'm now a retired Cardiologist, married with a Family, including 2 kids and 5 Grandchildren!

I just watched you with Randy Santel do a Mexican food challenge in Georgia. This was so different and just refreshing to watch. I do not like rare either, but that wagyu beef just seemed like it was melting as soon as you put it in your mouth. I think most of it was cooked right where you would want it. You had it all, service, atmosphere, cleanliness, quality of the food with the condiments, and even though it was not all "You" could eat most of us would not come close to 14 cuts of wagyu beef in one sitting, especially with the extras. It was worth every penny of the $100 you spent, and you have the memory of it for-ever. I thought you did an awesome job with your time limit considering you had no control of the cooking process. No wonder the Japanese are so lean and live longer on average. These portions are bird size. My hat is off to them for being able to eat so little and not only survive, but have healthy (well, apparently healthier than us) lives. Every time this subject comes up, I remember the story of the Russian POW in Japan. During the Russo-Japanese war this high ranking officer gets captured by the Japanese. They don't kill him and decide to keep him as a prisoner. Since he's a high ranking officer, they decide to take very good care of him, to make sure he's healthy, because they wanted to exchange him for a group of Japanese prisoners on the Russian side. And they were feeding him double portions until the exchange. Then, when the exchange happened and he gave his first briefing, to the journalist's questions as to how the Japanese treated him, he responded that they were trying to get rid of him through starvation because they hardly gave him any food. Different strokes for different folks.

Went to a Korean BBQ place that had Japanese A5 Wagyu Ribeye. You get something like 4oz (maybe less). $75. Raina easily ate $600 worth. Most people can’t eat that much A5 Wagyu because the meat is so fatty. But it tastes so good. 😋😋😋😋
