@@HesterEdition ok, I get it! I'm ready to get them fir my 2015 pro fxt. I only have 150 miles since new and when I do ride, it's got 4 to 6 people and an ice chest and rocky and logged out roads in the Arkansas Ouachita mountains.
I purchased mine in alb! I’m so disappointed in my purchase! It felt like it had plenty of power on flat ground when I test drove it! Took it straight to Red River and with 4 people in it on up hill on maintained dirt roads we couldn’t get it to go over 22mph! The ride to Cabresto lake was sad! Some areas on the dirt road petal to the floor we were barley hanging in at 13mph!!!! Anything I can to to this to boost power would be heaven sent!
The pro FXT when riding offroad use low range climbing hills. Low rancg for sustained speeds 20 or slower and high range for higher speeds like on roads. CVTs chage ratios based on loads so as you climb hills it technically shifts down in ratio thusly will NOT be able to do 45mph up steeper hills or loaded with people. Put in low range and it will crawl up pretty much anything you point at.
Four questions for you. Did you remove the sway bars to get this flex? Also, did you move the rear bumper up an inch to match the one inch bed lift? Are there different settings for stock A arms, vs the arched Super ATV A arms? I will be eventually be upgrading my A-Arms, but wanted to see if it should all be done at once. Who do I call and ask for to get pricing on a set of Stage 1 shocks for a 2021 Teryx 4. Thanks and great video!
In order. Yes toss it in the garage. No No, arms do not change shock setting on that set up. Can add arms down the road. Only need to do the bed lift with 28"-30" tire size. If you want to run 32s will need the 4" bed lift. Can give us a call Tuesday-Saurdays (575) 445-3558
I like the way you setup all you teryx builds. I've noticed you have used few different brand shocks like the 814s , bandits and these Elkas. The teryx4 you built with the 814s seem to have some travel as well. So what do you think of the 3 brands you,'ve used so far? Any one shock better at certain riding like for rock crawling, trail riding or fast fire road driving.
We partnered with Elka to build OUR Hester Edition set ups exclusively, we wanted to build the absolute BEST quality and the most options we could. They are the best of everything, and in some stages the best priced too! Win win!
@@DN4AGDX correct, because unlike the 814s these are purpose built to the correct specs for each specific vehicle. The 814s are viking car shocks not built for these vehicles, they are much to long and you MUST use limit straps to squish to the proper lengths or you will damage steering and axles. We do recommend limit straps on any brand of shocks for racing as a "what if" device, and when running portals and big heavy tires. There is a HUGE difference between the build, material and quality between the 2 shocks in comparison.
@@HesterEdition Right on. I built my Teryx4 just like the one you built with the 814s. I'm waiting to see what Kawasaki is going to release in January. Hoping for a 1000cc Teryx4 or Mule. Maybe a 4 seater KRX. Thanks for showing all the builds. :)
@@DN4AGDX We are sure hoping and praying too! But knowing how conservative Kawi is, probably new color or new body haha. I have been giving Kawi design changes for years, let's see if they listened!
Wow John! That’s freakin awesome! Too bad I just installed the SuperATV lift kit on my 2020 Teryx 4. I would LOVE to get a set of the stage 1 Hester edition Elkas, but combining those WITH the lift kit?? My tie rods and ball joints would probably HATE me. Might have to delete my lift kit to get a better riding teryx with ELKA! Thanks for the video John!
Looks like a badass build, but it is unfortunate you posted a number and say to call and a lady answers at number listed but cannot answer any questions and just says she doesn't know but that new ones are coming in.
We go have new employees and are astronomically busy, can leave a message and we can get back with you. Technical questions John answeres and is super busy, if you wish to buy Connie can also get you set up. The shocks are built to spec for each person, we only stock some for builds we do here. Feel free to leave a message and will will put you in line with the many others wanting shocks now and we will get back to you. Thank you
I would like this set up for my 2017 teryx
Get with us, Tuesday-Saturdays, we can help get you all set up!
hi what kit would this be an price for that kit
@John Cooper we have many options, give us a call we will go through and get you what you need for what you want to accomplish 😁👍
What’s the cost of the shocks for this setup if I installed all 4 on a teryx 4 2014 ( I have this same machine)
Sorry for delays, we don't get every question update. Give us a call Tuesday-Saturdays (575) 445-3558 for current pricing and availability.
What are the mud flaps on this build?
Mud Buster +3"
Do they work on a teryx 4 without a arms?
Yes stock or arched arms. You need the arched offset arms to fit 30's though. Without arms biggest you can fit is 28" tires and still do the bed lift.
Hi, can you provide a link to the part numbers or how to order these specific shocks for my 2019 teryx?
Call Tuesday-Saturdays (575) 445-3558, exclusive through us, one of us will get you all set up. Thank you
@@HesterEdition perfect! Will give you a call tomorrow. Thanks a lot for the quick response.

Awesome. Such a cool ride.
Thank you, these crawler builds are wicked up in the mountains
Really sharp work-love your videos
Thank you!
what makes these shocks exclusive to you? doesn't elka sell them on the Web?
Yes Elka sells shocks. But they only sell stock length and stage 3 or higher. We have exclusive lengths, stroke, valving and we have 5 stages.

Beautiful..
Thank you, quite the transformation.
Any chance you can have this owner send you a video of these shocks in action?

good job that's impressive.
Thank you
Also, can you share what the track width of this particular Teryx is? Thanks!
Outside width is 64"
Sorry correction this one was 66" it has 2" spacers. It's easy to keep it narrow if needed depending on wheel offset and with or without spacers.
