I had the pleasure of seeing Burton Cummings @ The Melody Tent in cape cod Massachusetts he was absolutely Spectacular his musical talents singing whaling on the keyboard was off the charts!!!!!! He brought the tent down !!!!!!!!
Burton is so honest! A living legend. 100% music man. He is not in the business for women. He does not cater to women. He has lived in the music business since he was 13 yrs old. He is very humble, mannerly, well spoken, intelligent, goofy, great personality & loves to laugh. He's kind & loves his fans. But, as he says, he lives a life of a loner. His talent of voice & writing songs has been his gift to the world. God gave him this gift to share. He sings with heart & soul. I will always love Burton Cummings 🙏🎹🎶🎼😊🎸😎👍🇨🇦😘
I agree. Burton is a music man for sure. It's been tough on his marriage with Cheryl, I'll bet. I think a divorce (sadly) is in the works...after 40 years together.
It surely does, Loni. A marriage takes a lot of work. People are imperfect and often unforgiving. A marriage between two ordinary people is tough enough...can you imagine one of those people is a super-star??? Yikes!
One thing that always sticks in my mind when I see Burton is his grade 9 music home room teacher, Mr Golan, said that Burton would never amount to anything… because he would play on the piano that was in the room. The school was pretty strict and teens will be teens. I love when teachers are so wrong. Those early days when he was starting out was just crazy. He was a north Winnipeg idol. I moved to Kenora Ontario and The Guess Who would come and play at the Chez La Rat, a rowing club on the water front that was a great dance hall. Would sometimes see him at the Salisbury House burger joint after the show. So proud to know him and listen to all his recordings. I particularly like his jazzy stuff on Woman Love like Mile a Second. Loved this interview, especially the part about sex symbol, some modesty there but he knows he’s got a great voice!
There is no one like Burton. He’s gorgeous looking here, stunning and natural. Still though, looks will only take a person so far. He is so bright and switched on in the mind. He’s a real thinker, intelligent and down to earth, very likable person.
I saw Burton and Randy in Concord NH at the Capital Theater back around 1986 to 1987 and they were doing Guess Who and BTO songs and it wasnt sold out so we got to go closer to the stage and it was one of the most incredible shows I have ever seen! I was shaking I was so excited over the music and to see these guys perform it was just AWESOME!
What happened to Kurt Winters because he left the guess who in 74 and never recorded another solo album or band which Cummings asked him to guest on his solo album but he didn't want to play music again for some reason.
@@waynegram8907 He recorded with the new Guess Who and was fantastic... This is Kurt on slide. Saw them do a free concert at the Winnipeg Zoo grounds some time in the late 70's. th-cam.com/video/vqUAF5bPA9A/w-d-xo.html
Gifted performer and voice. l was born in La, and became a talent agent ln Beverly Hills. A girl l trained as an a agent left and went to William Morris agency. l went to the parties .l can hear what he says about not wanting to run with the pack. Jay North came to my office after a party and had to just talk. He was disappointed in some of the celebrity's who were served cocaine on a silver platter at a party but preaching the say no to drugs . He was tired of LA and the hypocritical actions of some celebrity's. Loved Jay and he was very down to earth like Burton. Jay North played Dennis the Menace so he started as a child .
Not only is BC a classic vocalists. He is also a very wise statesmen for rock as an art form. And he beleives in his native country. His is now 70 and still sings with a voice that. Is as sweet as the great early 70s singers(Greg Lake,Robert Plant,Hall and Oats,Marty Balin, etc) thank good for remastered vynil. His bandmate Randy Bachman is still one of the best lead guitarists in the world.
I find him articulate, intelligent and logical. However my favorite musician is Van Morrison. Van Morrison is Unique , love his music and not Like anyone else.
Well this is from 1980. 40 yrs ago. So yeah...no such thing as TH-cam...or the internet for that matter. The interview being rare has nothing to do with when this vid was posted. You just really can't be that st
Larry Hinze there’s another video of her interviewing her for Much Music where she is doing the same with her over the top flirting and wanting his kek in her mange. Just saying.

Hello Lisa, how're you doing, I hope you are doing fine. I'm David from Houston, Texas. Where are you from? You seems like a real Country girl😊🌹
Burton Cummings....not from this world....and so refreshing
Burton is a showman. He is totally different off stage.
Stay up late, drink beer and listen to loud music, fuck, we the same guy.

Loved this.......always a treat to see Burton from the past!
Thank you for sharing this!
What a talent! I lived next door to Kurt Winters, who took over lead guitar from Bachman.
