Clean the flame sensor if there is an issue with the pilot light and staying on. emery cloth works fine. Kind of hard to get to with big fingers but it don't take much and the problem is solved.
Thank you 😅. I just bought a new gas cannister and my heater just wouldn't work with it. Now it's working, I'm telling you I was this close to asking for a refund for the new gas cannister 😂.
I got a refund and tried this and it still doesn't work. It happened last time and I got a refund and new one worked fine. Can't seem to find the problem and can't get the front off the heater to check if there is a screw for the pilot light
Curious have a gas butane run heater, got a new cylinder when i attached it the flame came on however it did not heat the front grid, removed the cylinder reattached the nearly empty one ignited the gas heater the flame came on this time the front grid began to heat, though the flame was spluttering that usually indicates to me that the cylinder is empty and needs to be replaced, returned the other the new cylinder received a replacement, attached it ignited the heater, the front grid began to heat, though my confidence in the safety of the heater has gone down, in your opinion is there any danger in continuing to use this gas heater.
Is this true for Sunbeam heaters too? Coz I followed the instructions in the video but my heater still only creates a rolling blue flame, which dies out after a couple of seconds when I turn it on. The little jet lighter at the bottom stays lit thuogh.
Hi Betty. If the heater you have is a Kent LPG Cabinet Heater and you've already tried the steps in the video, please give us a call on 0800 161 161, to see how we can help.
I've just bought a gas heater and it started making popping sounds! So I turned it off and disconnected the regulator! Is that normal for a new heater?
Hi Dave. Sorry, we missed this question. If you're in any way concerned about your Kent LPG Cabinet Heater, please give us a call on 0800 161 161 to have a chat.
Hi, this may be dumb, but some cats from the neighborhood peed in the burner of my stove while it was stored, now it smell awful everytime I turn it on. How safe it is to put clorox in there or something and wait a couple of days until it dries out?
Hi Asderg. It doesn't sound like you are in New Zealand, is that right. If not you're not in NZ, it's very unlikely the heater you have is one of ours. Regardless, putting Clorox on or in the heater is definitely not advisable.
Sorry we don't distribute outside of New Zealand. We also no longer range LPG cabinet heaters, but the trouble-shooting advice is helpful for those who still have one.

Hi Mark. That's a good tip for those in the UK. We are located in New Zealand though, so some homes here still use this type of heater. We actually don't sell these any more either but hope this is helpful for those who already have one :-)
Some UK rental properties do allow the use of bottled gas heaters, as long as you allow a little bit of ventilation i.e. an open inside door can help with this and allow the combustion products to circulate freely without causing damp, I use a UI Provence in a rented property and I don't get damp at all following my usual protocol i.e leaving an indoor door open to allow combustion products to circulate freely, and despite what you say, I've never had damp issues. It's all dependent on the conditions of your tenancy agreement and what your landlord or housing association allows.

These heaters aren't legal in most UK households. Unless you own the property you should check your tenancy agreement.
