when you hook up to a trailer like that here in the uk we engage forward and do a pull if truck doesn't budge then your hooked and fith wheel lock has locked in place then contact hoses. great video :)
2 shunts then "BLANK" for uncouple, or BLANK in reverse for couple (Brakes Legs Airlines Numberplate Kingpin (safety clip)/Kingpin Numberplate Airlines Legs Brakes)
I guess this is a new driver, so a few safety tips... Once you make a "connection" with the trailer, always do a double tug with the unit to make sure the fifth wheel has closed and never connect your Suzie's without putting the safety clip in.. Never jump off the truck, I know he is in a yard, but if this was a road with traffic, he could have jumped into a moving car. I saw a driver killed that way a few years ago. Also.... before even hooking the trailer, He should have made sure the trailer brake was on, and the "shunt button" wasn't engaged, as he would have pushed the trailer backwards... If you are a new Driver, hooking and dropping a trailer is one of the most important and dangerous procedures in the job, and if you miss any of the steps, you will find yourself in a world of shit. Always do the same steps, the same way every time and it will be become second to you and never get distracted by other things or people until you have finish the full procedure.
***** We all have to start somewhere my friend and at least you didn't drop it, get hurt or bust something..hahahah. The trick is to take your time and try not to get distracted during the procedure..As a last mental thought... once I get back in the truck and set off... I always say to myself... " safety clip in...lines on... legs up... number plate on.
I've been playing ets2 for a few years now, I'm currently learning for a driver's permit and after that I want to study for a truck license and become a trucker in scandinavia. Really good video man!
@@emekaaaaa I've got my driver's license, but I need to wait a few years to get my truck license, so I'll go to college in the meantime, to have a backup Thank you for asking!
Very interesting to see your first time driving a tractor and trailer. Here in Ireland that's about 95% of our large trucks. We have hardly any wagon and drags (truck and drawbar trailer) and no trucks pulling trailers on dollys.
In the area where you work or live there aren't too much heavy hills or so,that's why the fuel consumption is lower unlike here in Spain,Scania trucks are considered here one of the best, volvo trucks are also very good.
i did a ridealong in a R410 with the big cab. you can easy stand up in there, im 1.86m tall and i had plenty of room to stand. also a trailer truck without one is only about 7 tons on a 4x2 so the 6x2 isnt that much more so without a trailer they are fast as hell.
nice video, i work in the warehouse and i always use terberg trucks to move trailers, never actually tried driving truck like yours. also i never put handbrake on because if red cable is disconnected then wheels are locked :p
Hi, very cool your POV channel. Wow, how nice to see the internal structure of the truck cab. We have a POV channel on cars in Brazil and we have already put your channel on the featured list. A hug and keep up the good work.
The Scania truck is comfortable and beautiful. I wish you happy trips. I think I drive a Scania truck. I work in the port of Umm Qasr, the economic artery of Iraq, and I have many American friends. They love the world and we respect them. I love you, a new follower of your channel.
Good video. Why do you use the triangle box to push down brake pedal in 1:23:30? For check brake lights on trailer or any other reason? Thanks P.S. Sorry for my English. :D
We own a transport business with a few rigid's and some artics. The rigid's ain't too bad most of ours just come with 8 gears 4 down 4 up but the artics... wow, watching the drivers change all them gears is confusing!!!! You have low gears high gears then half gears don't know how drivers keep track of them all!
Was it a new or old Stoneridge in the truck? I know the older version is really bad when you type in the info but the newer version should be a lot easier to operate.
You should try to pull forward a bit after you back into the pin, to make sure it's secure. I'm no truck driver, but I watched a ton of videos and most of them tell you to do that. Gread video!
I'm actually interested in trucking, it's like something I want to do right now. When you're getting your licence, do you drive normal trucks or trailer trucks? I'm pretty sure I'd make a good driver, because I'd be doing what I like, but I don't know about backing up to that little door though :D

Hello mate loved your video, I love trucks since I was a kid, and I want to do this job later, could you please tell me any devices? it's a really hard job ? you drive on national roads, or you do international too?
It´s not easy when you drive international roads and don´t come home for the weekend or so. You really have to like the job in general to be happy. You don´t earn particullary much as well. Truck driver can be a very nice and exiciting job bute as I said you realy have to like to be able to to enjoy it. Otherwise you shoudl rather get a job in an office or so :) Cheers
+DrivingBro probably already been said, but to make your life easier on fridge semi trailer, pop trailer brake(red button on trailer next to black shunt button) then connect airlines...then reverse onto pin,do a tug test on connection by pulling forward...make sure you lift trailer(using height level adjuster in your cab, then winding up legs is easier...when have done your walk around, then release red trailer brake....ready for road!!!
i don't like the exterior of it, it looks ugly, it looks like a volvo fh16 from the side and a scania from the front but i do like the interior of it with the gauges and shit
Assuming you used the same microphone to record this video, then it appears your Volvo car seems more noisy than this big Scania truck ? Normally i would expect the car should be more quiet...or maybe it's due to the different road surfaces & tyre condition ?
A tip for your gps. "HERE WeGo" (formerly Here Maps / Nokia Here) lets you download the maps for entire countries for free and the navigation is actually pretty solid in my opinion.
Hey driving bro I love the POV truck driving I just need to ask one question how long did you want to become a truck driver and when you actually came to doing this job
Hello I've subbed to you today and am loving your videos I hope your not in too much pain from your motocross accident! and do you mind me asking how tall you are?
No its before you drive that u have to, some jobs dont require it at all, for ex rescue jobs. And u have to but nobody does manually put in what u have been doing before u put in ur card so that the swedish 30min break before 6 hour rule is met
Thank you for sharing that, that is one amazing truck, I bet it was fantastic to drive, will you be driving it again? Did it have a bed as well? Would have liked to have seen around inside as it is so new, but brilliant video, looking forward to what truck you drive next
Yes I saw that and your back is really serious in your job, so do what they say and I hope you get better quickly and get back in the truck very soon, and back on your bike too,

I was just about to say that - never trust it is locked just by looking at it.

In Sweden its up to 64 tons 25.25m, I think he will be fine as he actually has the CE license..
Kevin, I think you're referring to a "tug test", am I right?

I watch this and i play ets2 on my second monitor :D
Me too, but ETS 2 is kinda shit and SCS really needs to improve the gameplay and stuff like that. :)
That's good idea. For advanced coupling and stuff that would be pretty descent!

which truck do you think is the most confortable? this scania or the volvo fh500 you driven before?

I think one of the most frequently asked questions, but which truck brand do you prefer? Volvo Trucks or Scania?
