Seasoned veterans put the fork lowers on backwards too. To get your tyres the right direction, the model name (assegai etc) goes on the right drive side. There's no tyre logo on the nds (only brand name maxxis etc)

that piece that you put in your headset is called a headset cup. also here is a trick for cutting dropper housing to the right length, basically youll pull the housing out of the front of the bike until you have about an inch of housing still coming out of the seat tube, then youll turn the handle bars all the way right so that the bars are close to inline with the frame, then just line up the housing with the dropper lever and cut it with a little slack and there you go perfect length everytime.

But when I was installing it I put a old blanket under bike just in case I drop something 😂. Your bike is sweeet also. Enjoy.

have mines coming soon, but i wont be riding it as ill be cleaning it, ceramic coating it then applying frame protection. i went with the race face kashima handlebar, stem and pedals. so will see how well it matches. like to see a video on your thoughts when riding, granted my trails are mostly flat in my area unless i travel a few hours away.

I would have gotten this instead of my Trek Fuel EX 8 Gen 6 if the sale started at the beginning of march since that's when I got my bike. Has a mid range drive train and a very good suspension but still Alloy which I prefer. Though probably has a little more travel than I want in an all around mountain bike. This one is getting a little to close to an Enduro bike. Grat's on your bike I'm jealous. Looks like your learning how to work on mtb's the same way as I do lol.
As a big guy I'm looking at a Status 140 or 160 as my first MTB. Most of my area is down country and most people ride 100-120. Should I spring for the 160 because of my size, about 330lb, or will 140 with enough air pressure be enough?
