That’s mad. I can understand them wanting to control who comes in at the moment and where from, but why would they stop you leaving the country? Just knowing that would make me want to go!
@@juliebrooke6099 I think they stopped us leaving because eventually, you want to come back, then you have thousands of citizens complaining flights are cancelled, and then thousands of people in hotel quarantine system etc. In march, a lot of people still went in their holidays even though they were advised to come back immediately, then thousands got stuck overseas, some still stuck there and complained to the government the return flights cost $15000+ each etc
This was me in Melbourne too, living with my parents and unchallenged, so I moved to the Gold Coast 🙈 not quite Germany like I wanted but it will do for now 🤣
I aspire to this level of spontaneity. I became a full time travel blogger last year (I review cruises and travel within Europe). I got on my first plane last year and was so anxious that I nearly didn't go. I made it and had the time of my life & was planning so many trips when corona happened (the UK went into lockdown on the day I was going to take my second flying holiday). I've been regretting not being brave enough to travel sooner & then finding your channel a month ago gave me the final push. I've been saving up and as soon as this is over I'm booking more flights and travelling to wherever scares me most. Thank you for the encouragement!

I'm not sure you know this but a very devastating hurricane just hit Cancun, like yesterday, it might be a little bit under the weather right now, also the area is having a lot of issues with Covid still, so maybe you'd like to be careful about that. I think you'll enjoy living in México a lot but please do consider the fact that the Covid crisis is no way controlled here, and that even though "lockdown" is over (it was never really official) the pandemic is still very much raging in this part.
I got so excited when you said you were moving to Portugal! That's my home country, although I'm from Madeira Island. Portugal, for a small country, has so much culture and different places and sights and vibes and SO much history. And then there are the islands, also all so different and beautiful.
