I was in the white mans army in 1971 being programmed to kill when I heard the song I chose in the above commercial that I used. It was from a vinyl album by the five man soul singing group called The Dells from a newly released lp called "Freedom Means". I swear I played this cut from the album into the ground. Thou the entire album was great, I singled out this cut "Freedom Means" that bounced off the walls of my skull like something I never heard before. I ran this cut into the ground so much that the black vinyl grooves of the album had actually turned white! I wept, and vowed that when I got out the army, I was joining *"something", that was going to liberate or people, from that point on, I'm the way I am now, not about any foolishness. I chose the song in this presentation for a reason. I hope one day we all get to understand what Freedom Means, because time is quickly running out for us. * That "something" turned out to be The Nation Of Islam, which turned out to be a huge let down after I did some research and found out that Malcolm X's own "brothers" in the organization planned and executed him for detailed reasons too long to mention in this forum. I had to eventually get several copies of that album and song Freedom Means to replace the worn out one's. It's now on compact disc. Listen to the song, I hope it touches you the way it hit me.
I agree black wall street's should be in every state as an economic foundation to support ourselves I go to Jackson Mississippi every year and I live the people the town needs a make over and revival it can be done just like Detroit and other places and Those devils of the past South are still there with the next generation against change it won't be a sit down and chat it'll be a fight
Very true TimrodTV we need one in every state. And it's also true that revolutions don't have sit-downs, revolutions are bloody. And like Sam Cooke said if you go to them for help all they will do is knock you back down on your knee's. But since we are still in the position of compromise, I'd rather see a brother like Taalik Ibn'rad sitting down with a Trump because I know he's going to speak his mind and let Trump know how Black folks really feel. If Taalik is invited to the White House, we can rest assure he won't be going up there just to sit down for a cup of coffee.
