  • From my popular original synthetic wig detangling video, I got a lot of questions regarding if this trick works on straight wigs - YES. In this video I am demonstrating how you can detangle, thin and smoothen your synthetic wigs for years! Your wigs may not have to see the bin just yet!
    Please like, SHARE, comment and subscribe if this video helped you, it would also help me alot too 🤗 Thank You For Watching!!

    I had a wig that looked so ratty I was ready to toss it, so I was like... what do I have to lose by trying this? You not only saved a wig, but helped me turn a $30 Amazon wig into something that looks beautiful and completely natural. Thank you!

      Why the twists ?

    • @10esseebelle

      @@barkingpawzshe twists each section after detangling and cutting. That makes it easier to not cut a section twice and to not miss a section. I think she explained it in an older video. I know I'd miss an area and cut some double if I didn't twist or braid them. How weird would that be??? 😂😮

    Thank you for this tip. It worked! I didn’t have scissors so I used my eyebrow razor stick. I still was able to detangle pretty well.

    I’ve used human hair extensions for ten years and just recently started buying synthetic ones, which I absolutely love, but the maintenance and longevity have stumped me. I just bought a pair of sheering scissors and am looking forward to repairing my old and new ones!
    Thank you so much for your advice!

      yes they definitely take a little more work for sure! but hurt your pockets a little less too 😅 it's great for switching hair styles more frequently! Good luck with it

    I tried this with one of my units and although it did help, the hair still tangled and required a thorough brush mid day to get through the rest of my work day..

    Do you know how to keep wigs soft just like the day you take them out of the package? Even after washing and using fabric softeners, they don’t return to the initial softness.

    Hi this is really interesting.
    I have a body wavy lace Synthetic wig but I don’t have the scissors with the teeth, so do I use regular scissors? Cause I’m afraid I’ll cut the hair completely thank you. Any suggestions will help

    So how often are you doing this ?

  • @keinohrtini
    @keinohrtini ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I did that to most of my synthetic wigs with your last video. It worked on most like a charm! Do you have a tip to recover the structure of the hair? I slept in a synthetic wig for two days and the hair poofed up. No matter what I did, I was not able to bring the more silky structure back. :(

      I’m glad it’s working for you too!
      My wigs tend to be at their best after freshly washing them with no product applied after blow drying… but that’s only best for straight or wavy wigs, curly wigs my loose their curls.
      Or maybe gently blow dry your wig without washing. If it’s looking dry, run the tiniest bit of oil through the hair strands.
      I’m just thinking off the top of my head!😅 I hope one of those things can help ❤️

      Try a hand held steamer. Helps me keep my wigs tamed and not matted, cause I tend to wear them for a while( hint I have a few over 10 plus years old and some of my friends still think I'm lying about it cause it looks amazing to this day.

    Wait I’m confused- when you cut into it doesn’t it just cut into the first part or front of the section you pulled? Or are you supposed to rotate the scissors so that you cut more than just the front part of the section? (Does that make sense?)

    • @SweetEssie
      @SweetEssie หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can rotate or cut just the front part. Once you gather hair together it will be the same result. It is just to remove bulk

  • @LadyHarley

    Will using the scissors BEFORE brushing the tangles out help, or do we have to brush the tangles out first.
