    Good production values. Thanks for covering this with an in depth review. Its only unfortunate this doesnt have that many views

    Great in depth review. I have several pair of wireless earbuds and I think the Neobuds Pro is one of the best around the $100 range & highly recommended. Solid overall pair of earbuds

      Thank you! Yes the NeoBuds Pro are awesome. Not without their flaws, like all earbuds. But insane value for money, especially with sound quality 🔥

      Does anc work on windy day day or at beach?

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a wind reduction mode, but the ANC isn’t as powerful with it turned on. So they’re good for windy environments but not great

    Hi, thanks for the great review. I'm using an iPhone and I cannot decide between Edifier NeoBuds Pro, Anker Soundcore Liberty 3pro, Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro and JBL Libe Pro2.
    My priorities are sound quality and ANC respectively.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd say Soundcore's Liberty 3 Pro are the best for those aspects (they need a little tweaking in the app to lower the treble) but the app is great and features easy to use. Some people find they don't fit very well, so NeoBuds Pro would be a runner up here (more universal/comfortable fit). The app is a pain though and the EQ is rubbish. Good sound and ANC though, like the L3P.
      The other two earbuds are not on the same level 👍🏼

    Hi and I hope you can answer this. I have choice of Edifier W240TN, Neobuds Pro, NB2 Pro and JBL Tune 125TWS.
    I prioritize Sound Quality and Build Quality over features.
    Which would you recommend to me.
    I highly value your opinion as I've never tried any of these on

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would go with the NeoBuds Pro out of those - sound quality being the main factor there 👍🏼

    I was confused about the S model when I came across these recently. What a weird choice by Edifier. Not only is it lacking, it also is confusing to the consumer

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I think there are probably some better options nowadays. But actually Edifier just announced the NeoBuds Pro 2! So they might be worth checking out, and they also might make the older models even cheaper!

    Oh yeah i was wondering are there any earbuds that have tracking features? I lost my last earbuds like this because i couldnt find the case anymore (fyi the earbuds themselves had a sort of tracking but the case didnt so i lost the case :/) apart from that great vid :p i love the little detail you put in and the list of pro's and cons!

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Typically, no. The bluetooth connection is made with the earbuds and not the case itself, so unless at least one of the earbuds is still inside then you normally can't track the case on its own

  • @CrAstrum
    @CrAstrum 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you for this comparison. I bought the Pro model a few days ago and they will arrive today. When I saw the S model, I was kind of worried that if I had made the wrong choice but thanks to your video, I am happy that I bought the Pro model. I can not wait to try them out.
    By the way, I am an iPhone user so I will only be able to benefit from the AAC codec as long as I listen to music on my phone. Is there a significant difference between AAC and LHDC/LDAC or do they still sound good enough with the AAC codec?

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for watching! You made a good choice, don't worry.
      The earbud design, drivers, tuning etc is ALWAYS more important than the codec. So even iPhone users will get most of the benefits of the sound design from the earbuds (you can just take this a tiny bit further with the high end codecs). Don't forget that in this audiophile territory, the majority of the information that is retained by those high end codecs is actually outside of the typical human hearing range (this is why lots of people say they can't hear a difference).
      I've simplified this a lot for the sake of keeping the comment concise, but in short: they absolutely still sound good enough with AAC on an iPhone!

  • @HowardPosener

    In Thailand is also only $5 more for the S version... I'm coming from the liberty 3 pro I liked the sound very much and the fit... But I like making calls when walking outside everyone complained about they could not hear me well... I also have the samsung buds 2 which I have the same issue with... They were bith fine inside in quite conditions. Am I making the right choice? I'm using a snapdragon version of the s22 ultra.. Many thanks

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly, I don't think any earbuds are great for talking outside - people might struggle to hear you with any pair of earbuds. The environment might be the issue rather than the earbuds. However you might get lucky and find one that is much better for your use case.
      I personally don't think NeoBuds S are significantly better than Liberty 3 Pro or Buds 2 - but they do have a stem design that places the mic closer to your mouth, so they might be better because of that

    Hi, did your phone or tablet have LDAC and LHDC cod features when you did this test? My phone is Samsung A50, it doesn't have this code feature but I still want to get it. I don't know how the result will be

  • @HughesyTech

    I have Neobuds Pro and it's a solid choice for the price.
    if someone was to want Snapdragon Sound, you can get the Black Shark Joybuds Pro for more than half the price of the Neobuds S.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nice 👍🏼
      The problem is that simply having Snapdragon Sound isn't enough, it's about the actual earbud performance too (drivers, acoustic chamber etc). But i've pointed out the main issue with it anyway 😅

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The best for ANC right now is actually the new Space A40 - I reviewed them on the channel quite recently. Not their flagship or most expensive earbuds, but the Space series focussed specifically on battery life and noise cancelling. It’s good!

  • @immerstark
    @immerstark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I appreciate your review but I think you missed one of the key upgrades of snapdragon sound over ldac: maximum stable bitrate. Most Android phones default to 660kbps or 330kbps for ldac and they do so for good reason, they can't maintain a stable 990kbps connection. At 660kbps ldac has little quality advantage over other codecs and at 330kbps it is inferior to even the baseline sbc codec.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I did mention the stability and how this is a benefit vs LDAC - apologies if this wasn't made more clear though! I think ultimately my point is how few phones support Snapdragon Sound. It's all well and good potentially being better than LDAC but...not if your phone doesn't support it!
      *Edit: I'd also add that you can't select a specific high bit rate with Snapdragon Sound, so you don't actually know how if the maximum bit rate you're getting is higher. At least with LDAC you can manually select and force those higher settings - though I completely agree, they aren't stable at all

    • @immerstark
      @immerstark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@insidetechltd I should have worded that differently, I feel like there should have been more emphasis on how ldac in the real world completely fails to deliver on it's promises.
      As for handset support I think Qualcomm should have worked to get it's technology baked into the Bluetooth standard and accepted lower licensing fees.
