Now these are gone replaced with more efficient solid state AM broadcast transmitters. These also had mercury vapor rectifier tubes. A transmitter that was pretty to look at while on. In these transmitter low level mod stages they used 300 tubes.
The official WE claimed Output Power at 8Ω and 3.0% THD is 14 wpc. Actual measurements done by Stereophile show that at 8Ω and 1.0% THD, the output level is just below 1 wpc at 1Khz. At 4Ω, the 1.0% THD output level is 5 wpc. WE also makes some higher power (and very expensive) 300B monoblocks.
Interesting, but instead of alloting only a minute to how the amp actually sounds, in all that time was totally unexpected by anyone clicking on. The most important thing; given the least attention. Glad to have found your channel though.
