- If you were going to make a new Biomutant gameplay trailer, what would you show? Impressive cities and vast landscapes? Action-packed combat, true martial arts masters showing off their skills or an outpost being conquered? Wild, exotic and fluffy creatures, plus majestic, towering bosses who test your limits? Crazy mutations and abilities on the Hero? A submarine, an airship a combat mech and some mounts for the hero to ride on? Or just So. Many. Weapons?
Well, developer Experiment 101 decided to show all of that and much more in the new Biomutant gameplay trailer.

Agreed, it's nice to see a game that looks genuinely fun to play, i love the comic book bubbles that pop up. They look like they're trying to vary the combat up to stop the fighting getting stale too. If this comes out I'd absolutely give it a go!

I really like it. People forget that this is not a AAA title so it'll be rough around the edges but that's ok. I love the uniqueness of it, I'm excited to see how it turns out.
Dude most AAA these days have edges made of razorblades that break into glass in your hands then explode...when we get a non-broken AAA games these days it's a fucking miracle
Actually, that's exactly what makes me worry. It's not a AAA title, but it seems to have the scope of one? It's hard to tell but it looks like there's more mechanics here than Red Dead Redemption. I just hope they haven't over-stretched the project.

AAA games don't have a big scope. AT ALL.
They just have crazy expensive arts and polishing.
To me AAA just means they have a ton of money for marketing.
The game looks nothing short of amazing and has become of my most anticipated titles! Guys, take your time. Your hard work will definitely pay off. Thanks to everyone working on this project. We need more fresh ideas like this in the industry and I for one, will definitely be buying a copy.

@Osmium _ You're aware that 2020 is over in 27 days right? Unless they announce the release date 2 days before launch, there's no way in hell it's releasing in 2020. Until halfway through 2020, if you googled Biomutant Release Date it said 2019. It's best to just forget about the game until there's big news about a launch.
@Osmium _ I'm super optimistic, I think the game is going to come out, and i'm all for them taking their time with the game. I just don't want another Cyberpunk effect, where there's a release date, or suspected release date, and then it keeps getting moved. That's all I was saying. The original release date was in 2019. Then it was 2020, and now if you look at Steam it says the release date is 2021. I think it's better for the audience to simply move on and come back when a release date exists, so that they dont get restless and resent the company. I don't think it's pessimistic to say that the game isn't coming out this month, I just think it's beneficial for people to look at what's real right now, and come back when it's time.

This is probably one of the most unique games I've seen in a long time.
Really looking forward to Biomutant since it was announced at Gamescom couple of years ago. Diggin' the vibe of this game a lot!

I was originally excited about this game, then I saw this trailer. Now... I have no idea what the heck I just saw was.
They released an interview yesterday with this same footage and it talks about the world, creatures, vehicles and character creation.
Looks more like a monster hunting and loot pinata grinding for gear kind of game now, rather than the evolving world and interactive story that they originally set out to create. There was something unique to that. I hope that this is just more about expanding the world and what there is to do in it, since we did see some different locations and towns around the map.
Gonna be interesting to see how it turns out.

IT LIVES!!!! I love that tag: coming, when we are happy with it! Im so very excited for this game. Its nice to see something so creative and unique in a copy paste industry.
Looks a bit rough around the edges with the pop-in and some textures and animation, but hot *damn* am I seeing some interesting gameplay systems and ideas. More than willing to put up with some jank for this, heck if you polish it right 60 bucks looks pretty fair.
THQ Nordic is killing it lately, keep at it.

I don't see anything funny about that. It shows that they care about their game, and the community. They are not going to release it before its done, unlike CDPR, and Bethesda. I fully support them releasing it when they think that its ready to be put into the publics hands.
Literally one of my most anticipated titles all the way back from the reveal. Redwall and Sci-fi vibes. So excited.

@@liamashburn3334 yeah, I thought the same thing when I saw it. I've been hoping to see a new, inventive single player RPG and this SUPER delivers on that. I'm usually the same way, I like to wait and make sure it's a quality product, but this is different. This game could flop in so many ways, and I'd probably still find myself exploring the world for hours.
You can literally feel the passion that went into this game. Like holy crap its just so...different!

That was some nice gameplay, but the trailer could have been edited better, and showcased it in a greater light (and it doesn't help that it's a 9min one! Some segments were too long)
Still, some amazing stuff, we can see the game progressing further each demonstration!

Love the wes anderson style character intros, this game is crazy ambitious and looks really dope
I love it. It reminds me of those times I played Oddworld Strangers Wrath and the like. It's plain to see the budget isnt massive, and it might be rough at some points, but geez this has so much charm and personality. I can't wait.

We absolutely need up-to-date gameplay from every platform.
Absolutely loving how there's multiple vehicle types for all different biomes/areas that makes the game that much better. I dont mind waiting years to play this. The longer we wait the better the game can be.
I‘ve played this game on two Gamescoms and I can‘t wait for it to finally release! Every trailer hypes me up again. I hope we won‘t have to wait for too long now.
Water textures looked really flat and there was literally no transparency in it at all. Other than that it was very amazing. I hope the devs fix it later.

While I'm glad to see a lot more about this game and the art style looks amazing, I do think the audio for this trailer does a major disservice looping the same bombastic track over the footage. It quickly became monotonous after the first few minutes. Personally, I would have prefered a trimmed down version that had better pacing and flow.
Still looks like an impressive game, so kudos to the devs.
I really like the look of the combat and the unique aesthetics of the game! I'll definitely get it whenever it comes out on steam (as long as it's not epic exclusive).
After seeing this trailer, I realize this is those kind of games that you can only imagine playing in a dream. There is something that feels so amazingly exciting about this game, unlike 99% of games out there.
This game gives me that nostalgic feeling of the ps2 era where I used to play and be in awe...and also when I was finishing 100% of my games without being bored halfway through.
This game seems so complete and complex, like something hard to be bored while playing.
I will buy 1st day for sure!!
A lot more gunplay than I was expecting. I thought it was more melee based. I’m digging it but hope I can make a more melee focused character.

Looks fantastic so far! Definitely something I'm gonna be keeping on my Radar.
My one criticism is that, while at least close up. The attack animations seemed a bit stiff, and could use some squash and stretch. But zoomed out, during actual combat, it's not too noticable. Other than that, looks fantastic!
My big hope is once it's in people's hands, is that the combat feels satisfying. Melee hits that really FEEL like they're impactful is super important in games like these.

This looks amazing!!! Especially the characters design and world. There's one problem though, the stupid/annoying/eye strain/seizure inducing screen shake gimmick, please tell me there's an option to turn that off?? If so, day one!!!
What I really wanna see is more of who this main character is. It seems like there's a huge and very involved world here, but I wish there was something to hold it all together. We have scene after scene of crazy action, but no context of what's at stake. Kinda feels like an elaborate tech demo.
The world is massive, twice as big as I thought it was going to be, requiring a horse[creature] AND an Airship to get across the map. But is it bigger than Breath Of The Wilds map?
And I agree, I really hope they didn't spoil us by showing all the BOSS fights....I rather be surprised when I run in to them....also was hoping to see a HUD....but at least they showed some of menu with the weapon selection screen
I think it's about the same as Botw which is around 9x7km and this one I think is 8x8km right?

I think there have been 3 or so waves of trailers since this game got announced. Each wave has been almost a different game from the previous batch and I find myself still most drawn to the original trailer. Still a must buy for me but I can't help but feel unease. Looking forward to being proven wrong though!

The devs said they wouldn't announce a date untill they are in the end phase of the development/they were sure it would be finished by then

Dayum! Take note other game companies. This is how you sell a game. Gameplay and more gameplay. Would have never been on my radar, only for this trailer. Its a must have game for me now. Also, its refreshing at the end when it's says it will release when they're happy with it.

Swedish developers are really killing it. Valheim, this, even Mortal Online 2, etc. (obviously Minecraft but I'm talking of new games). Open world, and haven't fallen for the industry buzz out of California/France. Keep it up! Can't wait to play this when it comes out.

I hope that this game gives you the option to customize everything with various species to play as cause that'll be cool! I want to do some wacky variations of my characters, horses, and weapons
You won't be able to play as other Species (could of course also be wrong), but in the beginning you are able to customize it's Fur, color and looks (which also determines its stats)
Your character can mutate, so it can look "different"

This game is a creature of myth and legends, it’s name spoken in hushed tones in the darkest alleys, it’s mere existence the source of debate and conjecture.
Every time i see a trailer i say the same thing it looks very nice the rpg-y factor is over the roof the ost is great the concept is great too but the combat STILL somehow looks wooden and impactless thats the only thing thats holding this game from perfection.
This looks really rough, I am still up for playing this but man, this looks rough. Take your time with it guys, this one needs a whole lot more time in the oven.
