=== Full explanation for CCE disqualification ruling: ===
The stance in the Marble League is that marbles are DSQ'd when they do an action that impedes or hinders another competitors progress.
This is justified with the precedent of:
2016 water race, Rojo Rollers were disqualified for making too much contact and blocking in the water falls.
2016 hurdles where Pinkies were disqualified for jumping into another team's lane.
2019 relay where Midnight Wisps were disqualified for hitting their block into another team's lane.
Upon further inspection, there is a strong and obvious collision between CCE and and Rojo Rollers, which is almost entirely why the Rojo Rollers ended up off the course.
The incident was agreed to be a disqualification for the CCE because it entirely prevented the Rojo Rollers from completing the triathlon and advancing in the event.
Despite it being two years since the last incident, the organizers still believe that if you prevent someone from competing, you should also be prevented from further competing in that event.
No consolation points were awarded because this was an incident between competitors. Consolation points are typically reserved for track defects that harm or impede competitors, not for on track incidents.
Marble sports are ran like and treated as regular sports, and sometimes incidents like this come up and they will have to be addressed head on.

Hazers have a reputation of last-second comebacks, never imagined the moment will come when they get comebacked by the others instead
That’s the issue though, the Hazers are smart racers with top-tier drafting techniques - Foggy started that heat in the lead and couldn’t put his most impressive racing methods on display because of it. They need someone to overtake or they choke and get complacent
Hazers also have a reputation of getting robbed by the Savage Speeders at the last second, so I'd say this is on-brand.

CCE fan here. I didn’t cheer for anyone after that decision, and turned the video off well before the end. My evening is totally ruined.
@@sebidotorg Right with you here. As a CCE fan, I kept the video on in the background but couldn't be bothered to pay further attention. Just incredibly disheartening to see a DQ for something that was merely a racing accident amongst three marbles.

that semi-final between foggy and rapidly was crazy, me and my mate were jumping out of our chairs for that, keep the good work Jelle!
yeah, at first fraction of second in last clip, Rapidly at last with Foggy 1st, then both got 1st and 2nd respectively
Surprisingly Limers also had the speeders, they were in a hard heat and would of banged if they advanced!

Wasn't expecting another big scandal today. Can't say I agree with the ruling. This is going to live on for years.
This is THE Marble League. I understand some people find this ruling rather unfair. But as the hosts of this prestigious event they must be held to the same standard as everyone else. If not a higher standard for sportsmarbleship.
Blue eye might not have had much time to move out of the way, but they didn't alter course after the other's bad move.
Ultimately the ref called shoving, and it's not as clear in the shots we can see if shoving did in fact occur. This events have different rules for contact unlike the sand marble rally. And if you can't judge the call of the ref there is not much chance at a fair competition.
Now I have a small bias in this opinion, as a Green Duck fan, my team did gain a small chart gain because of this call from the ref.

Starts in the fall after the marble league qualifiers. All teams that didn’t qualify compete in this. Four episodes come out every season. The first sport, basketball, qualifiers will be determined by how they performed in the marble league qualifiers. Then each sport after that will be determined by how the performed in the sport before them. Points for positioning in each event are this: 1st. 22 2nd. 18 3rd: 15 4th: 12 5th: 10 6th: 8 7th. 6 8th: 4 9th. 3 10th. 2 11th. 1 12th. 0. There are two different leader boards for points. There will be a Championship board which decides who wins at the end, and a season board for the season the marbles are in. The season board only counts points from the events that season. Whoever wins a season board gets 30 points added to the Championship board. The winner is decided by who has the most points on the Championship board. This player gets the Season Sports championship. The Season Sport Championship allows you to host the next marble league and play in it.
The thing that gets me is that they disqualified him for pushing but didn't give the other marble a chance to try again. It's a lose-lose.

I so thought Rapidly was done for in the semi-fnal, I saw them slip to last and was like "Welp, we're out," then all of a sudden Rapidly blasted through the first out of nowhere, I was so surprised I was literally gaping like a fish in astoundment.
Honestly did not expect that result at the end, I actually feel a little bad for Mallard and Foggy, but congrats to all the teams involved.
This one literally had me sitting up straight going "What? How?" and cheering for the teams I prefer, so you're doing all the right stuff Jelle, it's getting dammed exciting to watch with how close it is.
Two amazing comebacks by Rapidly in the water! Couldn't be happier for him!
I think that's just pure experience by Rapidly, he knows when to push and when to save energy in these kind of events.

That huge pass in the sand was also really fun to watch! Overall, Rapidly performed really well this event and I am thoroughly impressed and just a little bit proud :)
As a Team Primary fan, I think I stand on a good ground to say: Blue Eye did not do anything wrong! He and 3 had been in contact coming into the sand, but Blue Eye just had a better trajectory and 3 deviated on his own towards the sand because he did not control his speed adequately. I really hope the CCE get a chance to appeal, regardless of Blue Eye's sportsmanship in accepting the decision.
I'm no fan of Crazy Cat's Eye and even I could see that was a bad call. At worst there was some accidental bumping, nothing intentional and certainly nothing worthy of disqualification.

I came here to say basically the same thing! I'm a Thunderbolts fan but still think it's garbage Blue Eye got DQ'd
100% agreed! Re-watching the heat where the incident took place, I could not even find when Blue Eye touched Rojo Tres. The RR marble simply went out of bounds from a wrong trajectory, either due to bad luck or lack of skill. The fact that he went out of the track cannot be blamed on any other marble.
I do hope that Crazy Cat's Eyes appeals the decision and get some kind of compensation. Again, Blue Eye's disqualification (and the 0 points it wields) is an injustice.

I know, right? They were doing so well in the beginning, but they fell apart after a little while. I was actually rooting for the Solar Flares (the new team this year) in the qualifiers, but when they didn’t make it in, I switched to the hosts instead. And now I’m deeply regretting that decision, but I can’t change teams in the middle of the season, so I guess I’ll make the best of it. 🤦♂️
God Foggy giving me so many heart attack this race
Foggy might be the best water marble as well as the worst sand marble. Probably the most entertaining choice for this event

I'll disagree with the stewards on this one. Blue Eye merely held their line, while Rojo Tres tried a reckless rejoin after coming in too hot and missing the turning point. It's unfortunate that CCE must be penalized for Tres' mistake.
It was clearly the push from Blue Eye which pushed Rojo Tres into the Sand.

@@swanpride This is true, but Blue Eye was already alongside when Tres moved right. To be fair, both them and Bingo went through that sector quite haphazardly, and this shouldn't be considered anything more than a racing incident. I don't think Blue Eye did anything in bad faith, considering their usual lighthearted demeanor that always brings joy to the team. Maybe the nerves got the best of them.

That accident with Rojo Tres was 100% his own fault. Blue Eye was simply trying to maneuver around Rojo Tres’ chaotic movement. I did a frame by frame, and what I can tell there was minimal contact between them on that corner, and there was no way that Blue Eye was responsible for that accident.

I did a frame-by-frame, too. Any contact between Rojo Tres and Blue Eye was minimal and incidental. Rojo Tres was out of control, got up high on that bank, and then did a flop worthy of LeBron James. To their credit, the fans of the Crazy Cat's Eyes did not riot and try to invade the League's Headquarters.
After that back stabbing call on Blue Eye the Crazy Cat’s Eyes better be compensated
I am not a CCE fan, but that collision was purely a racing accident that should not have been called under any circumstance. And even worse if that was the precedent they should've also called Mallard for squeezing Bingo in the race right after that.
Not just that, but if you're going to disqualify Blue Eye, that's clearly stating the accident wasn't Rojo Tres' fault. Tres should have been allowed to try again.
I'm not a CCE fan but why the hell do you not have Red Eye or Yellow Eye in a race that involves a circuit section?

Honestly. How many times have we seen in the sand marble rally seasons marbles have been shoved off the course by other competitors. I may have a soft spot for the crazy cats eyes but this is a poor decision. Love the channel though. Great to see more events.
Maybe it's different rules in the sand marble rally since the league is more sanctioned? Can't have the best athletes getting hurt

it was an accident, and Blue Eye tried to keep running on his line, the other 2 marbles were the ones crossing his path line...

Going in a high speed area of the track bumping your rival is a dangerous manouvre... he should be disqualified... But enough about Hamilton, CCE got unlucky here...
That call against Blue Eye was nonsense - Rojo Tres was already on a horrendous line due to an attempt to block Blue Eye, and put himself in that position as a result. Blue Eye could not have predicted Rojo Tres trying something so absurd. This is exacerbated by the fact that time was not allowed for a proper review/appeal, instead pushing forward with the event without giving the CCE due recourse to challenge the call. I would expect a full investigation of the referees involved in this incident, and at minimum proper compensation points (8 points at absolute minimum based on the fact that they should have made at least the semifinals).

I agree, the referees did a horrible job. Not only did they screw over CCE, they screwed the Rojo rollers as well. If you're gonna DQ a team for taking out another, the team that got taken out should have went to the semis. Just poor refereeing in general on this one.
They should give 25 points compensation to CCE, because they would have won this event, if they hadn’t been disqualified for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

As a CCE fan I am So Friggin' Mad about that DQ. R3 missed his corner and re-entered the track where Blue Eye couldn't avoid him anymore. R3 should be punished for endangering Blue Eye, not the other way around!!!
The refs are probably going too far in trying not to look influenced by the homefield CCE crowd.
It's probably too late to change anything, but CCE should definitely appeal this. Blue Eye didn't do anything malicious, Rojo was the one being reckless

But... i can't quite understand the decision on the CCE's, i mean, Tres overshot the corner, and, i like the Indigo Stars, but you could also have penalized Bingo for reckless rolling, Blue Eye had to swerve, causing them to bump into Rojo Tres.
I mean, they all 3 kinda messed up at the same point, Blue actually had the better racing line, you could've considered a re-run with just those 3.

Collision is guaranteed to happen, they can't call reckless rolling for every little thing otherwise every race event would have a disqualified team. But there is a line crossed between colliding to edge ahead and colliding that sends another off the course, so steps had to be taken.
NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO. Once again the crazy cats eyes did a fantastic job, but this time it was taken from them. We talked with Blue Eye, here’s what he said: “So I don’t think I deserved this, but the stuarts said I’ve done something wrong, unfortunately I had no choice but to accept what happened”. This is a massive heartbreak for us and all CCE fans. Hopefully we can bring more medals in the upcoming events
This was just a racing incident, it should have been overlooked. The rollers athlete was trying to occupy the line already taken by blue eye. It was rojo roller’s mistake and not blue eyes

Thanks for the update. It did look intentional but I was interested to read his first marble account of the ruling. He took it like a man…I mean marble and will bounce back.

That DSQ was a garbage call. Blue Eyes was taking it's line and the onus was on Rojos Tres to go ahead or fall behind in order to stay on the course.

After Foggy's poor finish in the Funnel Endurance, and now this, I believe this athlete is suffering from the Twisties, or some inner ear / equilibrium issue...
As a Speeders fan, I’m happy with the gold, but even more happy that it was Rapidly who won it. This past year has been a rough one for him, and his performance in Marbula One was less than stellar. It just seemed like he wasn’t putting in that final effort you need to win. Today, however, was a breath of fresh air. He gave his best every single race, and always seemed to claw his way back to a win from the very edge of elimination. Hats off to you my good marble, I’m glad to see you back in full force.

The collision between blue eye and Rojo 3 is hard to tell who is to blame. If you watch in slo-mo 0.25 you can see that Bingo is all out of sorts in the sand and bangs off the wall. Behind Blue eye is pulling past Rojo 3. As bingo slows up blue eye approaches at high speed. Bingo begins rolling back as blue eye narrowly avoids him. Meanwhile rojo 3 gets slightly wide after trying to defend his position. blue eye does not make any swerving of any sort and stays on his line. The reason he is going towadrs rojo 3 is cos he bounced of the wall earlier on. He ends up hitting rojo 3 and send him of. Really he had nowhere else to go, i mean any more to the right and he hits bingo and sends him off so for me it's a racing incedint and the results should be
1. Goolime (obviously he was just minding his own business)
2. Blue Eye
3. Bingo
4. Rojo 3 DNF but give him like 1 or 2 consolation points for being taken out by no fault of his own

Now, not saying that sending him up was deliberate BUT due to the position 3 was at, the collision sent him out
We have seen many marbles use others as boost through collisions especially in marbula 1 and marble rally and the only reason marble rally doesn't get noticed is because banks are higher and they go with so much speed its easy to lose control compared to here
I wouldn't wanna see blue eye get dsq but I feel most of the fault was on him more than any other of the three marbles
This reads like a Formula 1 incident report. I was just waiting for it to be a 5-second time penalty and two penalty points against blue eye's super license.
I disagree, maybe he didn’t mean to knock rojo 3 off, but he still did. It’s like in any other sport, it doesn’t matter if it’s intentional as long as it happened. Absolutely deserved.

Not even a CCE main here but that disqualification was BS, Rojo Tres was already heading towards the side and got in the way of Blue Eye who was just heading fowards, there was no ill intent there, if anything the collision just affected Blue Eye's overall time

DQing Blue-Eye was a mistake. At the worst the race could've been re-run. I mean if Rojo's knockout was deemed race altering then it should've been a complete re-run as all that a DQ does is screw both Crazy Cats Eyes and Rojo Rollers out of potential points. Bad decision in my opinion.

The incident of the CCE's was kinda unfair honestly. The fair choice is to have the 3 of them re-run. I dont think CCE's deserved it. Im a CCE fan and I'm not mad or livid. I'm just shocked and confused.

I don't think it would be fair making the other three marbles race again. Fatigue is a big part of Marble Sports. It wouldn't be fair to make three marbles race twice for a single heat.

I'm sorry for the language but the decision to disqualify blue eye was just horribly unfair BS. Has anyone checked if the judge on that has received some suspiciously large payments lately? Because foul play is the only logical explanation for this disaster of a bad call!
I agree that is was a very questionable call at best but there are always crappy refs in sports (think Joe West, Angel Hernandez, etc.) so it could’ve just been a bad call

Cats Eyes have been bamboozled here. 1. In the very moment when Blue Eye and Rojo Tres collide, Blue Eye was actually ahead. 2. In Sand Marble Rally things like this happen all the time, noone ever got disqualified for that. And this was on the sand track. 3. Rojo Tres might aswell have dived.

As a Rojo Rollers fan (along with Gliding Glaciers), this was so heartbreaking to see. I don't think it was right for the CCE's to get disqualified. It's true that RR would've made it through that turn if CCE hadn't pushed them but I think a re-do would've been the best way to resolve it.

Here's my guess as to why Blue Eye got disqualified: After that Marbula 1 season, Cleocatra's hyper-paranoid about accusations of cheating (who can forget all those nasty rumors about Red Eye being on performance-enhancing (or worse) substances?), and told the refs to be extra-tough on the home team just to preemptively dodge any accusations of playing favorites.

CCE haven’t been in form this throughout the league so far, but this kind of decision from the officials makes me wonder if there’s something else behind it. It can’t be a coincidence that such a bad refereeing call was made in a race that should be suited to CCEs biggest strengths. I hope there’s a full investigation.

I'm so emotionally invested in CCE that I normally just turn off the video when they get knocked out of an event. I sincerely hope those referees' spendings will be closely monitored indefinitely, to make sure they won't get any joy out of the bribery money they no doubt accepted to make that horrendous decision.
That was BS!! Rojo Tres clearly came off the wall oddly instead continuing down the course, clearly putting himself directly in Blue Eye's path. Rojo Tres initiated the contact and Blue Eye should not have been disqualified. But I would expect no less from these biased refs. They have always hated CCE!

Never seen anything like this. The DQ is questionable and a little judgmental at best (it was a judgement call). I’m expecting the CCE to at least make an appeal to the JMRC (Jelle’s Marble Runs Committee) but most likely the JMRC will Uphold their decision. At least the explanation for the DQ was better explained than the VAR explanations in football.

after rewatching the footage of the incident, 3 put themselves on a risky trajectory trying to cut blue eye off, bingo was in the wrong place at the wrong time, a little to close to the wall, causing blue eye to have nowhere to go except bounce off 3, as the gap that allowed them to keep going was way too small. even if blue eye hadn’t hit 3, 3 would have at the very least hit the wall hard enough to be in last. honestly, i think that they should have had either a re race for second, or at the very least allowed the races to continue with the current standings of blue eye being disqualified, but given cce either 9th place or the points that would have come if they were in 8th. i feel like the decision to disqualify was a snap one, as they wanted to get on with the race, however this resulted in mistakes being made, and i feel everyone would have benefited from the judges rewatching the footage a little closer, and spending more time on their decision.
I would argue tres ran into blue eye. Watch the replay in slo mo. Tres goes up the wall and blue eye passes them. Then tres starts to come back down the wall and hits blue eye on the side and bounces back up the wall because blue eye had much more momentum at that point.
Everyone has been ganging up on CCE since the last races people were intentionally break checking them and they still managed to win last season. I suspect this was the exact same thing.
At least CCEs won't be accused of hosting bias 🤷♀️😔

I agree! The judges made that decision way too quickly and lightly, and did not put in the proper analysis of the play that resulted in the DQ. Not a CCE fan, but I think that was an unfair call on the refs. Hope this gets reviewed and is reversed so they can get the points they deserve
i do want to say i love the bonus clips of the CCE fans being rightly upset and the towel and referees around Blue Eye, as a filmmaker i love those small details and extra effort

That disqualification was completely uncalled for. Rojo Tres attempted to block Blue Eye, came poorly out of the attempted block, didn't adjust his speed adequately, and as such swerved off through no fault of Blue Eye.

The pupils are all experts of thier specific sport , and do not have to train for the full marble league roster of events, as such, it would not be uncommon for a pupil to break a ML record. To answer your question: nothing would happen, it could almost be expected

Tres was in recovery from the sand trap and has the right to attempt recovery, Blue Eye shoved him back off the course and got DQ'd
The tap between Blue Eye and Rojo 3 was an utter accident. Everyone agrees that once a marble starts in a specific direction down the course it is very difficult to change in trajectory.
If anything...
Rojo 3 made a poor move to the outside then in an attempt to keep his position he rolled down right into Blue Eye to try to get a boost forward and it backfired on him.
Just as Greg Woods said, “Rojo 3 got stranded on the sand” but not from any fault of Blue Eye. Then Rojo 3’s pride was hurt and he tried to pin his poor move on Blue Eye.
Coming from a Savage speeders fan, I don’t know if I agree with the call, but rojo tres should have gotten a rerun if blue eye really did push him, not fair to finish second to last on account of that

Don't agree with the decision of the referees. I don't think Blue eye did it on purpose, it didn't deserve to be disqualified.
I'm sorry, that decision by the officials regarding the contact between Blue Eye and Rojo Tres was was a massive error. I watched it again at 50% speed and Blue had a very clean straight line, Tres bumped off of the sand embankment and collided with Blue, which is why he went off the track.

I am going to take a step back though and say that seeing all of the folks giving proper sport analysis to dispute the call really makes me smile. I'm glad folks can get into these events and really care. It's so heartwarming and shows that Marble League really does inspire so many people!
Never had to dislike one of these videos before, but that CCE call was ridiculous.
I think those refs are going to need some protection after that frankly insane call. After all, considering the massive bribe they took to make that call I'd not be surprised if they had to deal with some very very upset fans. For the refs own sake I advise they allow us to see their bank statements and allow a investigation as otherwise I believe trust in their capabilities will fall to an all time low.

I dont think marbles should be penalized for random events. It shopuld be counted as race incident. CCE would have minimum of 8 points from it, lack of those points hurts them badly for random game.
I love marble league and you work but I dont agree with this, so I have to give thumb down.
They would have gotten anywhere from 8 to 25 points, so to be fair, just give them the average of that, 17 points!

I can't say I'm surprised that Orangin was so strong through the sand section. She's a racer at heart. It looks like what she needs to work on is her breath control for that last water section. With a little better breath control, she could have podiumed for sure. Something to work on for next year. I'm proud of her performance either way though! GOOOO'RANGERS! 🍊
