Thanks Rob, I'm glad you enjoyed the series. I'm hoping to launch a more concise course for Dynamo in Revit 2020 at a later date this year as well - this series hasn't aged well in some areas unfortunately as Dynamo has improved a lot since I made these videos.
Well keep it up. I have come to find there are alot of people who say they know Dynamo but don't or truly understand it. They can stumble through it or able to reverse engineer but couldn't create anything from scratch or answer a question. This is like basic training that I believe starts you on the right foot that is easy to understand. While I am on standby from work till the pandemic eases, I am making good use of my time off and making myself more employable as much as I can. Take care.

I found the same challenges when I learnt - people were too focused on wacky forms and fibonnaci spirals when really I just wanted to find practical, everyday examples that I could apply to Dynamo/Revit. This large-in-part inspired me to begin this channel, as I saw the void in education that existed at the time. Keep up the downtime learning, and I wish you all the best when everything goes back to normal.
Not silly at all! Shift+select a bunch of nodes, right click and Create group. You can name this group, as well as move it around, and if you right click it, there will be some colour options! I actually have a tutorial on node colouring next Friday so very relevant question!

The only way is to search in the node library. No alt+click as far as i know.

This will generally return the remainder if you divide a number by another.
So for examle 11 % 5 = 1
