- Ahli Parlimen pembangkang menggesa Putrajaya untuk menekan kerajaan Filipina supaya menggugurkan tuntutannya ke atas Sabah.
Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis (Warisan-Kota Belud) berkata dakwaan mengenai Sabah telah dibahaskan secara terbuka di Filipina, namun ia tidak mendapat perhatian sepenuhnya daripada penggubal undang-undang Malaysia.
Dalam jawapannya Timbalan Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Mas Ermiyatie Samsudin menegaskan kerajaan telah mengambil tindakan, termasuk mencabar sebarang percubaan menguatkuasakan pembayaran pampasan RM62.6 bilion oleh penimbang tara Sepanyol kepada pihak yang mengaku keturunan kesultanan Sulu.

The blunder here is Malaysia should have had kept paying the lease for a small amount of RM 5300 for endless years and have the whole of Sabah. But when they stopped paying in 2013, they committed a breach of agreement. Thereby, prompting the heirs of Sulu to file a strong case in the Spanish/French Court of arbitration. And was able to demand compensations from the loses. The Malaysian government thought the issue can be swept under the carpet and play blind and stop the payment without thinking of the consequences. God is good & just.
They stop paying because they are angered of the servants of the real owner who wants to protect of their owned lands that they land grabbed 🤣😁😂😭😭😭😭😭😭🤪😝🤪😝🤪😝

And no amount of your cherished history, past or present, can change the fact that Malaysia is a mere transferee or successor-in-interest over said property and as such cannot be in a better position much less claim to possess a better right than its predecessor-in-interest BNBc which had been paying rent since 1878 until Malaysia defaulted in 2013.

The Philippine government does not recognize the Sultanate of Sulu and the Sultanate of Sulu does not exist. there are only the heirs of the sultan of sulu whose lineage is not clear, the land of the former sultanate of sulu in the south of the philippines is abandoned without development, the people of sulu live in poverty due to a prolonged civil war, many terrorist activities due to the lack of administration of the sultanate, the philippine government only uses the heirs of the sultan of sulu to take advantage of sulu claims for their profit. the sulu area will go backwards forever because the philippine government is not able to develop it or is not interested in developing it. they are only interested in something that has already been developed, in the sense of stealing something that already has an owner.

A Philippine Court also recognized the heirs of the Sultan of Sulu.
Some Philippine presidents like the Aquinos had been lukewarm in treating the Sultanate but the official Philippine Policy is the recognition of the Royal Family of the Sultanate of Sulu.

Sulu fought "invaders" for centuries until they were forced to surrender their soverignity. Colonialists brand them as pirates / terrorists. In fact they are warriors fighting for their freedom. If you give them a choice now I am sure they want to become an independent sultanate/country/nation.

Since 1878 to 2013 lease payment was made to the heir of Sultan of Sulu. Malaysia started lease payment to the heirs of Sultan of Sulu from its creation as a country in 1963 up until 2013. The contract is called Lease Contract and the Philippines will never drop its claims over Sabah.

The 2013 armed conflict in Sabah which involved just 200 or so Filipino Muslim fighters proved to be very difficult for your armed forces to deal with.
If the Philippines decide to support the tens of thousands of battle-tested and battle-hardened Muslim fighters and let them fight in Sabah together with the Philippine forces which have been in continous perpetual state of armed conflict since World War 2, how do you think your inexperienced army and police would be able to handle them?

Dr. Stampa's final award did not touch Sabah. So there is no fact to prove that Sabah belongs to Sultan Sulu. Dr. Stampa's appointment as an arbitrator and all procedural actions made by him were canceled based on the decision of the Madrid High Court on June 29, 2021. The cancellation of the final award was authorized by the high court of madrid and the high court of france on 12 july 2022. because the final award has been canceled, its enforcement has also been suspended. so malaysia won in this claim case.case closed. Dr. Stampa's final award did not touch Sabah. So there is no fact to prove that Sabah belongs to Sultan Sulu. Dr. Stampa's appointment as an arbitrator and all procedural actions made by him were canceled based on the decision of the Madrid High Court on June 29, 2021. The cancellation of the final award was authorized by the high court of madrid and the high court of france on 12 july 2022. because the final award has been canceled, its enforcement has also been suspended. so malaysia won in this claim case. god bless malaysia.

If you are thinking that the Philippine will drop its claim in Sabah, it will never happen, not in thousand years. Think about it. Sabah contribute to the federation by means of its natural resources and yet still the poorest among the state of malaysia. The federation is only interested in its precious resources and not for the welfare of its people. It would be better to cut ties with the federations and join the Philippine instead. Make a deal with the Philippine government like keeping the majority of your profits from oil and natural resources in return of recognizing the sultan as your traditional ruler.

With all due respect, its not a question of who own sabah, its a question of if malaysia will pay or not, thats what they are debating in malaysian parliament, malaysia should cut their losses but they have to pay the sulu sultanate, it is very very hard for them to swallow but they have to do it, and definitely sabah will not be handed over to malaysia by the sultanate of sulu, may be that could have happened before if only malaysia been kind to the plight of the sulu sultanate but malaysia ignore them and paid the sultan family an insulting amount of rm5000 annually instead of the original amount of pesos1200 in mexican gold annually........

If sabah is returned under the care of the sulu sultanate it is tempting to create a sultanate much like brunei, but the Big question is, since the sultan of sulu as a Phil citizen had to ask the help of the govt to bolster his claim on sabah and the Phil govt did that. The claim for sabah became the claim not only for the sultan of sulu but also for the Phil govt. Together the claim for sabah become stronger, now, going back to ur question, the possibility is there, but many things had to be considered, yet, as the legitimate owner, it is for the sultan of sulu to decide the future of sabah once he regain control of that land, because right now the Phil govt will also be recognize as co-owner having been given the right to claim sabah by the sulu sultan..imho...sabah will be part of the Phil probably under special status governed by the sulu sultan, like an autonomy...

Malaysia should pay for the resources of Sabah which Malaysia benifited for several years. That is a karma of their illegal Claim on Sabah. Selfish is not good.
