When this song came out we used to sing this to my Mom, Rosemary. She is 91 yo now and not doing well. If you could send a prayer her way I would be so grateful. I love you Mom!

Tony Burrows has had a crazy career; he sang so many one-hit wonders on the UK charts that he was double-booked on Top of the Pops four separate times. He toured as "The Voice of 1970" because all of his groups didn't really exist.
@Gerald H Plus half of Pipkins ! For the other groups the recordings had taken place at different times, but (different) record labels sort of released them about the same time

I agree Amber, 70's pop included every "so called" genre, and is close to my heart being 6-15 years old in that decade. The 80's is a real close second. In both decades I went from childhood to young adulthood and music is just full of great memories of the best years of my life. I feel fortunate to have experienced the incredible music and variety, and evolving styles during those epic years. 😊
Music is the sound track to our lives. We hear a song and are transported back in time. We know exactly where we were and what we were doing. For example the song Joy To The World. I heard it during smoke break at school and the cicadas were out and covered the trees. I didn't smoke but my friends did. I'm a little older than you but feel the same way as you. I am more partial to the 70s though.
@@Teresia12 I'm partial to the 70's too. I said the 80's is a close 2nd. Isn't funny how many details of memory a song can bring to mind? I loved your story. 😊

I love it when I see young people experiencing the music of that era. What they probably didn't know, when setting out on this journey of discovery, is how significant music was to a young, pre-internet, pre-social media generation. And that was in large part due to the explosion of energy and creativity that went into that musical era, beginning in the '50s and lasting thru the '70s.

Great song to sing along with, back in the day if we were in the car, or at home listening to the radio… When it came on we sang. These are songs you don’t forget.
That singer is Tony Burrows. He had 3 hits on the charts at the same time with 3 different groups. Love Grows, My Baby Loves Love and United We Stand. Look up his story on TH-cam.
This is just a good pop song. I think i was 11-12 when this came out and I can still sing along with the lyrics.
Like your review, just watched you folks for the first time. Actually this is a great song from my past & brings back tons of great memories. I've been a professional musician for like forever & I'm saying these guys were pretty good musicians. Note the nice modulation towards the end of the song. & A great arrangement in my opinion. Let's face it those were great times. I'm glad I lived thru that era. Keep up the good work guys. I'm gonna check you out more before I subscribe.
