Something that I love from this scene is that Hercules did not mind Hades putting his hand on his shoulder, but when he touched Meg's ethereal body face Herc went berserk and punched the shit out of Hades straight to the Styx. Don't you ever mess with a man in love 💕

To be fair. He waited 18 years for his plan to come to fruition. He tried everything to make sure Hercules would not become a God and his plan failed.
He did die, but in order for him to become a god he must become a true hero. That’s what he did.
