The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 4MATIC Is Small, Roomy, And Premium Priced

  • Mercedes-Benz has a lot of SUVs to choose from, the GLB is one of the smallest. Sharing an architecture with the sleeker GLA, the GLB 250 sports an upright design and the option of squeezing a third row into it. Available with front or 4MATIC all-wheel drive, it covers a lot of bases with loads of passenger and cargo room. But it is a Mercedes and buyers will be paying for that large three-pointed star on the grill. Tom Voelk checks out a modestly optioned GLB 250 4MATIC with the AMG Line trim package.

    TH-cam should recognize you as the “model” TH-camr for vehicle reviews.
    You're professional, and your videos actually focus on the vehicle. You give the information and content that we want. Professionalism balanced with witty humor, seamless shots/clips, and an impartial approach. You're authentic... it doesn't get better than that, 10/10. Don't change!!
    I mean, you just had to review the modern-day hackney carriage without throwing it down a cliff. Well done.

    I have a part time job driving for a Mercedes dealership. I’ve driven many Mercedes models and have taken them on long trips. The GLB is probably my favorite one. I like the ride quality, the zippiness, and overall feel and style of the GLB. It’s most likely the model I’d buy for myself. I love these things and would definitely recommend one.

      Do you think it has more room than the GLC? Considering buying something a little more compact than my current Honda Pilot. Still need cargo space for road trips.

      @@angelageathers9754 The GLC does have more cargo room than a GLB, as the GLC is a larger vehicle. But you can hold a reasonable amount of cargo in the GLB, and little more in the GLC.

I am only halfway thru the video and a realize though the starting price looks nice, it gets expensive when you add what you would like. For me, I would want leather interior, pano sunroof, three rows and 4 wheel drive. That is probably well over 10k additions by MB standards.

    Thanks Tom. Nice review. I would probably opt out on AWD and the AMG trim package. Just went through the MB configurator and came up with a $44,300 build choosing an optional color, a premium package, heated seats/steering wheel. That's not too bad. I would probably also take a hard look at the cost of leaping to a GLC. I rented one recently and had a very enjoyable drive from Las Vegas to LA via Death Valley. The primary appeal here, I think, is a higher level of quality in a smaller package.

    • @DrivenCarReviews

      I'm a fan of the C. Think it's forth the extra money.

    • @kylegoodman5196
      @kylegoodman5196 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think for certain people there will be an appeal that this has over the GLC. I know for me the more compact shape and footprint of the GLB is appealing because I park my car in a very tight driveway in the multi family home I live in and the GLC has a wider footprint. The boxier shape and FWD drive train also increases cargo room compared to the GLC. The tech in the GLB is also a step up from the GLC given that the GLC is based on a five year old architecture. However I do believe that not only will the GLC look better inside and outside but it also will handle better given that its fundamentally a RWD vehicle. I think it just depends more on your priorities and mission with the car than anything.
