    HI Brompton friends, in this video i wanted to show you how my first travel experience went with the B&W Hard Case.
    Its an incredible case, i can certainly see myself using it for other travel items other than the Brompton Bike in the future.

    Neal, not sure if you knew or not but if you proceeded to the Bottom floor you can hop on a train easy peasy thb 50 , about 1 pound and all the way into Phayathai or wherever you want to go. From there it's an easy cycle to your hotel but not sure about the hard case whether you can strap it to the rear rack or not. The pedals and seat stay on and it's a 30 second assembly. When you're tired Mate it all helps. Pick yourself up a Brompton B Bag. The bag folds up and straps to rear rack or on top of the front T BAg. front TNice little Vid there Neal. I'd be hopping straight into that bed but you appear full of beans! Another thing. If the taxi guy doesn't turn on the meter you don't get in .One more thing. You need a front carrier block for the T bag then lose your back pack...

    It's such a great way to travel. Traveling light and a bike when you reach your destination. 👍 Ps get a thick, square piece of leather and tape it to the part of the box the pedal is hitting. If it case is handled roughly it will prevent the pedal from crashing into the case and damaging it. Cheers 👍

      Hi Gordon, Im excited to travel with just the bike case and my hand luggage on my next trip. I will certainly be adding some kind off protection to the pedals. On my way from Bangkok to Austarlia i just used some fabric over the pedal and it worked great. Cheers mate.

    And I have bought an expensive but effective Vincita pouch to protect the brompton folding pedal, and it functions fine.

    And You may have noticed the Brompton insert, to adjust and secure that the saddle is the right hight, every time!!

    Did you have to pay for excess size? it looks larger to me vs airlines allow with no extra charge

    Yes but an expensive Brompton tool kit is hidden inside the frame, to be brought at any time, and it is a one time buy, because it may last the bikes time. But being a tall guy, and my Brompton was sold as standard with a long seat post, so I can't put it in my B&W box with it in the frame, so I may try a standard post, if it functions for me? I have a special telescope post, but it is even more heavy! Lately I have bought a black titanium post with a ring on top. for my Lightweight, so I may waste the heavy clamp for the saddle (An AceOffix clamp is lighter and less complicated).

    The Ikea bag is Dimpa - is a perfect fit for the Brompton and is £3 but it is clear so it depends on how ‘stealth’ you’re trying to be. It also doesn’t fold up particularly small. I use it if I’m concerned about the bike dripping on a friend’s carpet or something but otherwise I use the Brompton cover/saddlebag (2017 version). Whatever works though! I also love the convenience of the Brompton toolkit - it’s crazy expensive but knowing I’ve always got the right tools inside the bike is great. I also stick a spare inner tube in the other side of the frame.

      Yeah thats it. I wasnt sure about the transparency of that bag but i think it would also allow people to see whats inside a big bag like that and be ok with it being a bike. I did see a 3D printed tool kit plan on a facebook page that looked awesome. Free plans too. Spare tube is a wicked idea i will definitely be doing that. Amazing becks thanks .

      NonStopNeal you’re more than welcome - just make sure you’ve got an easy way of getting the inner tube back out again when you need it! 😂 There are some very cool 3D printing plans out there for Brompton accessories - almost enough to convince me I need a 3D printer!

      @@theibecks haha thats good thing again. I have a friend who had a 3d printer for work so maybe I could ask him.

    Okay I love your bike, now get back on your wheel, lol so I found this little electric unicycle by surfing the internet, have you ever heard of the Gotway Mo - 8 it is the smallest electric unicycle with a 8 inch tire, I'm trying to find one

      @@NonStopNeal I never heard of the gotway mo8 until I saw on the video looking for the Mten 3 which I bought and it is being shipped from got way to me for a cheap $838. ewheels wanted $1075 online, so for obvious reasons I didn't buy from them this time, don't know if you're subscribed to me or not but I just put up a really long video I ride with agirl Sasha she has the v10f I haven't tried it yet but I'm looking to get rid of my monster and get a Tesla wheel

    Great video, very informative. I’ve just bought the same case and will be travelling to Spain with it in a couple of days. One question ... did you deflate your tyres at all before travelling?

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Darren, ive just used it again. Back on a mini adventure and love this case. I did deflate the tires a little bit yeah. Have a fun trip with the bike mate.

    So that's... 47 lbs not to bad a weight, but thank goodness for the rollers on the bottom. Speaking of which, the rack on the back has wheels on it, I just noticed that! So you can kinda push it around while folded right?

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Alpha, Yeah with just the bike and the box its 19kg so around 42 Ibs. Yeah so the rear rack has 2 more wheels. Thats one of the main reasons i put it on. When folded you can rotate the seat and pull the bike along on the racks wheels but also on all for.
