Keep in mind, this is the same guy who made songs like "Burnin' & Lootin'", "I Shot the Sheriff", and "Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)". Yes, Bob was all about peace and love, but he also understood that sometimes violent revolution was necessary against an oppressive system. I feel like that aspect of him sometimes gets watered down and people tend to have this more sanitized vision of him in their head. They forget he was also an angry ghetto kid who idolized Che Guevara and the Black Panthers and put up posters of them in the Wailers Soul Shack record store. There was a reason they tried to assassinate him, and it wasn't because he was telling everyone to hold hands and sing Kumbaya
