This Super Rugby season is wide open. This is what it needs, to be honest. I mean I did not expect the Chiefs to lose to the Reds as an example, but they did.

What it needs is more supporters near empty stadiums in Brisbane and Wellington not a good look for investors

Not good to have half a full stadium for such a big game, but I at least respect Hurricanes choice to close a stand to make it look a bit better
These comments on every game. Southern hemisphere teams generally play in bigger stadiums than up north, with a much smaller population density. This crowd in a smaller stadium would fill it, but we don't have the population density needed to build stadiums that small. We mainly just have big ones and do everything in them.
@@Hatunrumiocthis game, when I was a kid, had me up at 6am in the UK on a weekend morning, as a teenager that's a rare thing. Stadium would have been full to the brim. Is rugby interest dying in NZ and they are burying their heads in the sand?

Awful miscall at the end of the second half. It's a deliberate knock-on from a player laying on his back, offsides 5 meters from the goal line. A definite red for me. Have no idea how the side judge missed it
Don't think there's a case for red, but it was absolutely a yellow and the Blues were very lucky to get away with it.

Viewing on tv and crowd attendances for rugby has declined in nz for a number of reasons,post covid effects,cost of living crisis,too many stoppages in play,too many rules,reset scrums not enough ball in play action but I think people are also searching for deeper meaning in life
NZ population is smaller than most countries and most people can't afford tickets. 15k is not at bad crowd at all
yeah i think you need to realize the sport is dying in aust.. but in nz.. i think most people just don't see the game is as great in the past. why they don't bother going.. the quality of games of going down hill real fast

That's always been the English pronunciation and it's how it's always been pronounced in NZ. The US pronounces it with the long a. So yeah, the commentators pronounce it correctly.

Wow , a good product . Yet the crowds are rubbish . Warriors Rnd 1 SOLD OUT . Game needs to have a good look at itself . The NRL can smell blood back home .

I was at the match. This was a boring match when there was real fire power in both back lines. Neither team ran into space. Poor kicking game. Crash bash. Poor advert for running rugby.

This was actually one of the most filled stadiums this round.
Cant think of any non international rugby team that fills a 34000 seater stadium for a regular league game.
Tbf the majority of sports teams struggle to fill the ground. It tends to be nfl n football (excluding motorsport) that attract the 30k plus fans week in week out.
Also need to think of demographics nz has a population of 3 million people compared to the US 350million.
@@DisAstra-qx9gq I would agree with you if there was at least 10k in the crowd. Apart from this hurricanes game, there wasn’t. NRL, Top14 both manage to pack stadiums. The Irish provinces manage to as well.
