Last month I attended my Auntie Sally’s funeral in Chicago. She was 96. I spent several wonderful days with family…reminiscing, sharing stories, and EATING! Beautiful memories were made. Upon returning back to Oregon, I saw this tutorial and knew it would make the most perfect card to send to my cousins back in Chicago, as almost a kind of a closure to my last visit. I enjoyed painting all 9 cards! Sooo fun! I thank you Ellen for your patience, simple explanations, adaptability, knowledge!, and humor. I’m a fan!
I was feeling quite low…….now my spirits have been raised by your lovely words and art. Yes it is sweet. X
You always bring me just what I need to pick me up!!!My Mom passed away a few months ago and I miss her so much. We always talked about what was flowering in our gardens. I'm going to paint this with her in mind!
Thank you
That’s beautiful! I totally enjoy watching you paint it’s very therapeutic
I love to paint flowers And Goats 😃
The fence challenged me a bit with the shadows and trying to get the right perspective of the boards, but at the end it all came together nicely. I'm quite pleased with how it came out. Thank you!
Thank you, Ellen. I always forget about masking fluid. It's a great tip for the fence. Your painting is precious. So sweet.

I love the painting, White Picket Fence, and wild flowers. I grew up with a grandmother who had this exact thing! Thanks for reminding me of that memory! Karen Dirmish, learner 0:53
I've had the same bottle of pebo fixative for at least 5 years. It's still usable! It's good stuff. Just close it tight!
I really enjoyed this one! Thanks Ellen!
Another wonderful and fun tutorial, Ellen. Thank you so much. I enjoyed myself and your instruction was spot on! Looking forward to recreating this again with other colors for the flowers and to practice with my #12 brush! :) "Go big or go home!"😉
