Well, for hammers it's more practical to just go for the head since the difference in damage (impact weapons) between the wings and the head is minimal. But it's significant in cutting weapons. :D So... you are, in a way, correct too. ^_^
I swear the information you provide in your guides are the only reason why g rank monsters aren't as difficult as they seemed to be. Your akantor guild got me through hr6 and your narga guild got me though hr7. Thanks for the many great tutorials.

@TheGunnerMoose It's been ages since I played MH. But if I'm not mistaken, normal rathians' weakness = head. The weapon will bounce if you attempt to whack the wings.
@Revanchist2 I farmed Black Diablos for the HGE, RA+2 and Sharpness+1 set. Works really well with a hammer. Then I did the other prerequisite quests before tackling Ukanlos. =)
@ShimmerArc If you wish not to make a video guide a simple wording guide will give me enough info for what I require. Just PM me about degrees and timing and I will most likely get it sooner or later. I have lots of practice with hammer so it shouldn't be very hard with that info.
OMFG i just killed it =p thx i dont no why monsterhunter 3 came out on nintendo wii though cos they took out some wepons and mad it worse i recon it couled of been good on psp but any way AWSOM advice it defenantly works thanx and you shouled keep making more vids of different monsters like that video was mad it was awsom =]

God, what a HUGE rathian is that. I only encountered a 2.1k size once, lucky on multiplayer with friends. Dunno if I can handle such Rathian alone....

I got a Question. Is the Ukanlos GS viable? It got negative chrit chance yeah, but the raw damage is pretty high...
Should work but negative affinity is always a bit on the bad side unless you have the skill that makes all unsheathe attacks cric.
u should add examples of what happens when u mess up on certain moves.
