- Wagle Ki Duniya (literally: 'Wagle's World') was a popular comedy sitcom on Indian television, aired for the first time in 1988 to 1990 on state-run Doordarshan channel. It was directed by Kundan Shah, and was based on characters created by noted cartoonist, R. K. Laxman, especially "the common man" about the issues of common middle-class Indian man.It starred Anjan Srivastav as a bumbling sales clerk in a multinational and Bharati Achrekar as his wife. The series was hit and made Anjan Srivastav a household name.

Those days the storylines were quite concise and precise and would aptly convey the message.
In today's time frame this would have been easily 10 episodes...
Honestly, when this marvelous series was aired on Doordarshan, we could not watch it on TV or may have but don't remember it. It is sad that only 14 episodes were made of this amazing show. I wish it had many more episodes than just a mere 14. Each episode was short and sweet with no excess drama, overacting, or dragging it unnecessarily. As one of the viewers commented perfectly that you don't realise how quickly 24 minutes pass by when you start watching the episodes. I wish they had elaborated the cast's real and character names in this serial.

No it was in DD national channel
They air only 13 episodes of this serial on dd national channel on that time in 90s .all 13 episodes are already here in this youtube channel..watch them..thanks

@@Krishna-vh5ku Originally and officially, there are 104 episodes but probably, which i'm definitely not aware of, DD channel only broadcasted 28 episodes during lockdown. I really want them to put on all the episodes though.

In one of the episode rajedh says they go out to fill water but if you compare old as part 1 then whatever they are showing like Rajesh more sensible,Manoj more irresponsible,very lower middle class family,is not true here both the parents especially mr wagle is more responsible and well earned father in those days if a person was having landline phone,tv,water supply at home with furniture was considered upper middle class for us that person was rich at that time
