This edit is amazing! The way each scene fits well with the song ("You have nowhere to run" at the moment where he and Sarah are at gunpoint, "But it gets hard to stand" when Joel has a panic attack) is incredible. And how at the end every beat matches every gunshot! A masterpiece!
When the editing hits SO GOOD. The pacing in this is INSANELY perfect, even the downbeat cuts. On top of that I've loved this song for a while! Subscribing! So well done!!
First time watching this tribute edit video of the one and only Pedro Pascal as Joel from TLOU! Breathtaking and a phenomenal edit! great work! great watch! great job you! 25/11/2024
Rip joel miller may u be remembered always in my heart in anyone elses hearts who loved joel miller he was my hero😔 Edit:bruh only one like dang some people must not like joel
I have to disagree a bit, though it is a quality video and well worth my subscribing, my "like," and as many views as it can get. As a veteran, "soldiers" do what they do for the greater good of a larger number of people. They often sacrifice their own lives and the lives of others to achieve that greater good. In TLOU, for his own emotional reasons that are completely understandable on a human-but not military-level, Joel killed a bunch of people to save a loved one rather than allow her to be sacrificed for that greater good. He did that even though acheiving that greater good was the "mission". The generally accepted interpretation of the show and game has been that he was being *_selfish_* in doing so and probably would have done the same thing even if Ellie had expressly consented to the procedure because losing her would have hurt his feelings. The implication is that he _knew_ she would sacrifice herself for the mission and then in Part 2 he confirmed he'd do it all again if he had to after Ellie's preferences were even more clear. Is he a fighter and a skilled combatant, yes; is he a "soldier," no...not even metaphorically unless you boil the term to "guy I like who kills people." Ellie, who would have given her life for the greater good, is more aptly metaphorically described as the "soldier." Joel is a metaphorical badass dad of a soldier, but a dad who never served.
I don’t think you needed to write all of that hahah. I just picked the song because in my opinion, it went well with the character. The video didn’t come out bad and I had lots of ideas for this song. Yes Joel is not an actual military soldier but he is a soldier in a way where he we keep fighting on and keep going on no matter what. Even at the times he didn’t have much to live or to fight for, he still pushed through it. Thank you for your service btw.
@@TrophyProductionsTP I see all that as Joel fighting for himself (and what's his). The isn't anything inherently wrong with that, we all do it, but the essence of a (metaphorical) soldier to me is fighting for the greater good or some greater purpose than yourself. In my eyes, "the mission" was the cure. Ellie fought for that mission, Joel abandoned it at the critical moment in favor of a new mission: his happiness. That is the almost the very least soldier-y mission there is, as in general soldiers are not the happiest people you're likely to meet. Tommy would make a good metaphorical soldier in that sense (and and actual ex-soldier in the story, of course) because he sacrificed his contact and relationship with Joel for the greater good of Jackson remaining secret. But to each his own metaphorical definition. Good video.

wheres the story of rick grimes video??
Look at my recent community post
This is a fine tribute but I didn't see either of the main protagonists anywhere. Brick and Bottle deserved better.
AMAZING STUFF
Thank you!
