Sir Terry's voice still inexplicably makes me tearful. He was such a gentle, pure, cheeky full of double enendres. "King Deadly" I still revere this incredible human. xxx
I recently went to my partners family party in Warwick. His stepmum and dad were celebrating there 20th wedding anniversary anc it was his 60th birthday. This song was the very first song played by the band that my partners stepmum is part of
@@sunryse111 I enjoyed it. But I don't think it hit the USA Top 40. 1978, had some great music. Love to be 23 yrs old and have my long hair. After 4 years of "High & Tight" haircuts in the Marine Corps, boy I let my hair grow..... I probably told you the "Hair" story before.
Correct. And I apologise if my "liner notes" gave the wrong impression. He did sing along to the Brighouse & Rastrick version but sang with a different ensemble when he went into the recording studios.

God bless you in heaven Sir Terry thank you for your gift of joyful hours of witty speaking, amen
We could never forget our Terry! Janet and John and his endless poking fun at Eurovision. Priceless!
I agree. He was a diamond. Funny without trying.
Rest in peace Terry wogan 1938-2016
Love it! Great man with a lovely sense of humour. 😃
Growing up in Brighouse, a tune that made me cringe through my teenage years, but now makes me look back with fondness to a simpler time.
As a Yorkshire lad, I know Brighouse very well. Sounds like you may have move on, though ....
at last ive found the lyrics to this tune, many thanks
My pleasure, Jean.

@@sunryse111 my wife just listened to the Floral Song and said, "It sounded like a Broadway Song" which she loves Broadway music.
@@USMC-Veteran73-77 Thanks for that, Chuck. I must admit I was wondering what American folks would make of this one!!!
There was a number 2 instrument version of this by the gastric warehouse band which I preferred
This version was recorded with Hanwell Band from London , not Brighouse and Rastrick .

@@sunryse111 No need for an apology , my comment was just a general statement not a correction . Cheers , Mark .
