But that only changes the login, getting back to where you already were. It doesn’t give you the opportunity to make a new password even though you forgot the first one...(which is why you’re changing it in the first place) 🤦🏾♀️😢😢

I need some help with the forgotten password option. First of all, I can't change my Instagram password if I can't remember the old one, and secondly, whenever I tried to click on "Forgot Password?", it's supposed to send me a login link, and all that's entered in is my username, which I have no option to edit. All I can click on is "Send login link", but when I click on it, nothing happens. I don't get sent anything, and then I'm stuck in this constant loop forever. Why is this happening, and is there any way to fix it?

For all on mobile, to reset password you need to copy the link and go into the browser then reset your password.

its not working. It logs me back in automatically after I enter the 6 digits code they sent me by text, I have no option to reset my password, which is what I need to do. This is just logging you back in if you can't log in. Its not to reset the password.

YALL I FOUND A WAY TO CHANGE IT ON IPHONE
1. Go to settings > security > password
2. Click password and it will send you a link to reset it via email or number (depends on what you chose)
Now here’s when the issue came for me it took me back to my account. Didn’t let me change the password every time I clicked the link I suppose you guys have the same problem so here’s what you do
3. Copy the link don’t click it then paste it in safari
4. There it’ll give you the option to reset the password and confirm now one. Hope it helps!! :)

Go to settings click password. They will send a link in your email to reset your password.
The link when you click the reset password will just log you back in. Took me hours to figure out.
