Only mechanical fault this thing has outside of the usual suspects you would think of in anything like brakes and suspension is that apparently someone at MG-Rover had brain damage when developing this car because the stock head gasket is made out of polymer in Rover's K-series engines....Oh, that and a leakage issue. but apparently dropping in an aftermarket HG and rebuilding the engine partially with Lotus or aftermarket parts can fix these issues
