Bisbee: 'The flood was so sudden that it killed fish in the middle of them eating.'
Also Bisbee: 'The reason you don't find dead humans alongside all the other fossils is that *all* of them had time to get to higher ground and/or on a boat.'
I guess even he doesn't listen to himself.

    • @ziploc2000

His story has no internal consistency. If humans ran to the higher ground to escape the flood, but it also covered Mt. Everest, we'd find human fossils on high ground like the top of Mt. Everest. We don't, so that can't be the explanation. Flood myth busted.

Surely more agile creatures who ran from the water would be higher than humans.
Any land dwelling animal would retreat from rising water, and run from flash flooding where possible. Even cows wander to high ground during floods.
Wouldn't there be a bunch of mountain tops with chimps and deer huddled at the top?
If they were washed away by the floods, then surely the humans would have been too.

@@ziploc2000 Precisely! This is how we can distinguish between a rational argument and an irrational "rationalization narrative". The rationalization narrative does not encompass all the evidence, and inevitably runs into internal inconsistencies. (I prefer the term "incoherencies", as I subscribe to coherentism as a founding epistemic principle.)
In science, when we discover incoherencies, it's time to revise and update the underlying theory. In dogmatism, it signals the need to throw out or ignore the incoherent data. Big difference.

No. No. No. Aron Ra teaches that scientific claims should be based on evidence, not on speculation. It’s possible that Bisbee actually believes his flood story. Cognitive bias (which is very real, and scientifically demonstrable) allows this possibility. _If_ he believes it, then he is _not_ a liar. He’s just wrong.
It’s very tempting to impugn the character of people we disagree with, but we do ourselves no favors by failing to adhere to the principles we are espousing. It is enough to prove that Bisbee is wrong based on the fossil evidence. Speculation regarding his honesty or motives is just that. Speculation.

@@MaryAnnNytowl I honestly do not know the answer to your question. I suspect Bisbee doesn't know the answer either.
Human cognition is driven by hueristics and biases we are usually completely unaware of. If I had to guess, I'd suppose that Bisbee's beliefs represent his own way of resolving cognitive dissonance caused by incompatibility between the evidence cited by Aron Ra and his fundamentalist belief that not only is the Bible inerrant, but that his simplistic understanding of the Bible is inerrant. Both of these seem like absurd errors in reasoning... But this does not prevent many people from believing them.
Please understand that I'm not trying to justify or support Bisbee's beliefs. They are frankly absurd from my perspective. But neither can I conclude that he knows that they are wrong. And I want to emphasize that many people are simply not persuadable on the basis of evidence. Bisbee may be one of them. My greater concern is with regard to those who ARE persuadable. Taking too "heavy handed" an approach could alienate those who would be otherwise receptive to rational arguments. As I said above it's enough to disprove the evidence, and not fall into "fundamental attribution error" regarding a person's character or motives.
My general position is that we must draw a clear distinction between beliefs base on evidence, and beliefs based on faith, feelings, emotions, etc. (NOTE: According to my intended meaning, the same word, "beliefs" applies in both cases. In my view this is accurate, although I realize Aron Ra disagrees. I just think he's wrong about this.) Bisbee's greatest "offense" from my perspective is his attempts to portray his "faux" evidence (that is, the things that Aron Ra has persuasively disproved) on the SAME level as scientific evidence. This is like trying to balance a bowling ball against a fleck of dust... And even that might be an underestimate.

If they are so certain and if evolution is so foolish, why are afraid of their members seeing a different view? Perhaps for the same reason Bible ownership among lay people was once banned in Europe.

Ya know, MOST of the reality-deniers Satanosaur mentions are religiously motivated. Of course, not all religious people are reality-deniers and not all reality-deniers are religious. However, being a "bible-believing-christian" is very often the reason people believe in the flat-earth, or deny the existence of space, or deny climate change or vaccines, or deep time, etc...
Flat-earth - Bible says it's so (four corners of earth, book of Daniel talks about being able to see ALL of the earth from one vantage point, etc)...
No Space - Bible says there are 'waters of heaven' outside of the 'dome.'
Climate change - Bible says that God gave us dominion over the earth. He won't let it get destroyed.
Vaccines - Our God will protect us, not this new god, 'Science!'
Deep Time - The bible shows that the earth is 6,000 to 10,000 years old. Not millions/ billions of years!
It's usually creationists who form the ranks of these varieties of reality-denier, since it's usually creationists who are biblical literalists. _And if the bible says that Daniel saw to the ends of the earth from a very tall tree, then it must LITERALLY be true and therefore the earth is flat!_ And so forth and so on...

We lost touch (no Facebook back then) but recently he came back to visit his parents and I hooked up with him at Buffalo Wild Wings for Monday Night Football. We had some wings and beers and chatted about this and that like old friends do. After the game was over, the cameras focused on a group of players from both teams meeting in the middle of the field for a prayer circle. I scoffed and guffawed and said that for the last 60 minutes those guys were trying to kill each other and now they’re holding hands and hugging. He decided that was a perfect lead in to demonstrate the power of God and religion. And by this time we both had half a dozen beers and proceeded to dismantle his arguments Aaron Ra style. Because of watching all your videos all these years, I can debunk and show how religion does just the opposite. Atheists finding some extinct animal, saying it’s “TRANSITIONAL” and placing it in some assumed pattern and calling such a fact for evolution, is not science whatsoever, but SPECULATIVE ASSUMPTION, which is all atheism really is. You have to BELIEVE in evolution and the rest of the ideas of atheism (e.g. big bang, abiogenesis, mistakes (mutations) gaining in complexity/new information, star formation), because nobody has ever seen it. Yet TRUE NATURE (e.g. gravity, flower bloom, reproduction, sunshine) is readily observed. Try to learn.
How do you get to God when a cause is required? Easy. You have to follow the evidence where it leads: Since ALL MATTER (NATURE: time/space/matter/energy) is FINITE/DYING/decaying over time (entropy), it requires an INFINITE/NON-DYING SUPERNATURAL cause - OUR INFINITE SUPERNATURAL GOD. We can clearly observe that truth via the human being: We ONLY LOSE INFORMATION: Women soon LOSE the ability to have children, we LOSE our 20/20 vision and LOSE a portion of our hearing. We LOSE all the way to our end/heat death - never GAINING ANY NEW INFORMATION (evolution). THUS, we require a NON-DYING/INFINITE/SUPERNATURAL GOD as our cause.
There's not been any new anatomy differing from ancestry in any plant, animal or human for 10,000 yrs (evolution) and there never will be. You're going to do NOTHING but waste away over time. And ALL MATTER will do the same and ALL MATTER is contiguous & under the same laws. These facts prove GENESIS in that ALL MATTER was created/designed/produced SUDDENLY with a set amount of energy that has did nothing but dissipate over time.

Creation is a scientific fact. The problem with your atheist religion is manifold. First of all, you have no INTELLIGENCE, POWER, PURPOSE, RESOURCES & MEANS anywhere in your atheist cult (big bang, abiogenesis, evolution) that can create design the human being and 10 million DIFFERENT species. ALSO, your atheist cult has no INTELLIGENT source that can combine (in an intelligent orderly arrangement) the elements that are used to create our cells or cells of any other biological life form. It’s like having all the parts of a machine laying around and there’s no intelligent agent to intelligently arrange them - building the machine with the proper DNA coded blueprint for the human being or 10 million DIFFERENT species of life. These facts prove that the religion of atheism is totally absurd. It’s impossible that G0D doesn’t exist. G0D is REQUIRED to exist, else we or nothing else would exist.

It’s not just high-complexity/high function design that proves our divine G0D; it's also the *INTELLIGENT ARRANGEMENT* of that high-complexity in a high function design to produce a clear purposeful processed outcome. The co-dependent structures of the digestive system (mouth, teeth, tongue, epiglottis, throat, stomach, stomach acid, small intestine, large intestine, anus) certainly can't come from "NOTHING" or a mud puddle. This is where you atheists say "I don't know.... and well......uh.....it evolved" LOL.
You've lost your mind, if you think ALL the created/designed co-existent bodily systems (circulatory, respiratory, reproductive, pulmonic, digestive, skeletal, muscular, nervous, body (skin), etc., etc.) intertwined in symmetry and order in the human body arose without a DIVINE MIND. You think all that high-complexity/high function structure came from "NOTHING" or a MINDLESS mud puddle or star dust? Because if you do, you're too ignorant to be here.
Creation proves the creator. The facts make it VERY EASY to prove God & destroy your atheist cult: When we reason from effect to cause, we observe that we have life, intelligence, love, consciousness and morality in which we can't manufacture ourselves and thus, we have to get those attributes from a source that not only has these attributes to give, but ALSO has the intelligence, power, purpose and means to give them. THAT FACT points to our living, intelligent, loving, conscious and moral God as the cause/source. There is no other RATIONAL POSSIBLE option than our INFINITE GOD who produced this FINITE universe of nature: time/space/matter/energy. Sorry, but a moist rock or any other asinine atheist cause, did not produce the human being or any of these attributes, yet you tightly cling to that proven atheist garbage. SO not only did I prove we need a cause; I proved all GODLESS ideas are not only IMPOSSIBLE, but are detrimental less-than-worthless garbage.

I noticed that it had a triangular head with compound eyes bulging out on each side. I also saw that they had spikes on their legs. I hypothesized to myself that roaches and mantids had a common ancestor based on those features. And when I looked it up, I found out that they are both in the same clade which also has termites in it. I was so excited by my little personal discovery, eventhough it had already been discovered, that I decided to start looking at other organisms to try and hypothesize evolutionary relationships. The problem with this hypothesis is that we find invertebrates, fish, amphibians, and reptiles in cenozoic rocks alongside mammals and birds and we find bird and mammal fossils in mesozoic rocks with non-avian dinosaurs and pterosaurs which disproves the whole latitude theory of escaping the global flood.

Each eye having over 30 lenses does indeed sound "primitive" to me as it duplicates bad eyes to get an improvement in visual information available to the organism instead of improving the lense to make the one eye better at what it does.
it speaks to me of an accidental modification of the genetic code that was kept as it made the animal slightly better at surviving and not of a "designer" that laboriously worked out how to make the most complex eye they could possibly develop in order to make mediocre visual information available to the organism. DESIGN implies conscious effort to REDUCE complexity, not increase it to show off
(although knowing the god of the bible it sounds like that one wouild totally show off by giving animals bad anatomy just to point out how brilliant he'd be at design. Unfortunately for Beehive Dave that isn't what the bible talks about when god "creates" there is no lab, no big drawing board, no chemical experiments to find great solutions. It was all spoken into being in 3 separate magical spells, which make no sense if we look at how animals developed CLEARLY from water to land to air and sometimes the other way around (like seals, whales or penguins) and if there was a possibility for "god" to have designed life, the results would make this god look like a bumbling idiot and not a genius well meaning all powerful god...)

"Roaches become resistant to pesticides after a while." *Kent Hovind

My favorite is from Ken Ham who suggests a dog can evolve from an immortal blob of cells with no shape or species by WANTING to evolve... and will THEN be sad cause there is no other blob of cells that it can procreate with and obviously as it#s now dog shaped it will die in a few years. Fractal failure there.
Kent Hovind has said similar things, but Kent Hovind needs donated IQ points to get to double digits, so there's that... but his best work is the actually so called "Hovind theory" that the "dome" or "firmament" was a layer of ice that mellowed out the sunlight so no cancer or whatever could exist, kept air pressure high due to the hard limit the atmosphere would have and would keep temperatures high like a greenhouse. the flood caused this firmament to melt (the rains of Casterme... ehh of Noah) and break up into parts, peppering the surface with it and making all meteoroid craters. Then he says when the water stood for the 10 months+ of the bible story (they seldom take on the differences between first and second telling, curious that?) it caused the ground to sagg on some places, which now are our oceans where all the water went to after the flood ended (despite oceanic crust and continental crust being different in thickness and composition... hmmm) causing the start of a very fast continental movement from Pangea to modern continents and the ultrafast heaping up of mountains in consequence of that.

Highly recommended, although he has slowed down considerably after publishing episode 100 which was his original goal of five seasons completed.
Creation Myths (Dr Dan Cardinale) is also very good and as he is a scientist in the biological part of the debate he can go into details even Aron Ra will not have a full grasp on.
Gutsick Gibbon does the same, she's right now a PHD student with a bachelor in primatology. She often collabs with others like Dr Dan Cardinale on debunking specific books by the Creationists and has had various specialist scientists on to talk about big problems with the flood models like the heat created by a sped up timeline of earth history...

Thank you for being so detailed with your information. I just recently deconstructed my Christian faith and have been looking into the claims I was taught all my life in church and by apologetics. Your video are very informative and helpful in finding out the truth. Please keep up the good work.

Also how is being descended from bacteria, worms, fish, etc in nay way demeaning. All it shows is that he thinks he's superior to certain creatures and can't handle the idea he's related to them because it bruises his ego.

10:28 Suddenly, I am reminded of this really old game called "Impossible Creatures." It was a rather amusing RTS that made use of supposed hybrids like these as your military units, and you can make your own Creationist straw men from a pretty decent collection of animals, too. If anyone wants to check it out, I found the game got added to Steam.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing the rest of this series.

What is with their "evolving to be more complex" hang up? So single celled organisms don't exist? They've been evolving for the exact same amount of time as us to the millisecond (well, kinda, PE).

It seems to me that it's also important to point out that even if Bisby _were_ right, that there are fossils of animals that appear exactly as they are today tens-to-hundreds of millions of years ago, that isn't actually a problem for evolution. Nothing about evolution requires things to change - if selection pressures remain consistent, often things won't change for a very long time - it just explains the change that does happen.

    • @sineaddwanson9294
      @sineaddwanson9294 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Wrong. An amoeba to 9 million species of life is CHANGE. There's no squirming out of the fact that evolution is a total farce. There's no such thing as A GAIN OF INFORMATION (evolution). We ONLY LOSE INFORMATION: Women soon LOSE the ability to have children, we LOSE our 20/20 vision and LOSE a portion of our hearing.
