- The Denzel Washington School of the Arts (formerlly the Performing and Visual Arts Magnet School) presents The Wiz in the Phylicia Rashad Auditorium. Produced and Directed by Dr. Evelyn Collins and Music Directed by Alvin Waddles. Featuring students in grades 6-12.
LOVE this!! These beautiful young people are so talented!!! I was lucky to see this in the 70's with Miss Stephanie Mills!!! This Dorothy is amazing too! Congrats to all involved!!!!
Yes I saw it too with Stephanie Mills and then again with a young lady last name Renfro in the 80s, Ted Ross was on the tour too
I don't know about y'all , but "be a Lion" had me in real tears. They are so talented and blessed. Continue being great!

Yes!! Great voices and strong dancers. The 4 friends were exceptional.
I'm at wok watching this and I have chills going through me. This is THE best school production of this show I have ever seen. BRAVO!!!!!!! I'm going to suggest we play this for the students at my school.👏🏾🙌🏾 I am literally in tears listening to this rendition of 'I'm a lion'.
