- I made this video because I loved playing this game and wanted to share that love with you all
I hope this helps people get into the game, I want more people like me to find this great community.

This is a surprisingly good channel, you really deserve more attention. If you like Rivals you should check out its workshop characters, they're pretty cool.
Yea for sure! You'll find a lot of funny dumb meme characters on the front pages of Steam and stuff, but if you dig past the surface a bit, it honestly has some of the craziest, coolest, and best characters I've ever seen in a platform fighter lol.
There's even a competitive scene for Workshop if you look in the right places (it's pretty small tbh, but also pretty tight-knit and welcoming).

24:53 that whole last stock of the video was amazing, it's so cool seeing you go from the massive lose streak in the beginning to hitting that kind of wild stuff!
That backstory bit with the college friend was somewhst relatable to me, my friend once Trial by Fire'd me into being pretty good at... Metroid Blast in Nintendo Land of all things. Turns out being beaten up so many times is a pretty effective way to improve at pvp games, especially when it's against the same person the whole time because on top of just getting better at the game you can also download all their little habits and learn to use those against them
It may not be the most enjoyable way to learn, but I'll be damned if it isn't the fastest way

This video was insanely relatable for me, I also started playing competitive Smash in Smash 4 and constantly played one of my friends who would CONSISTENTLY 3-stock me, got better at Smash, then gave rivals a shot. It's super cool to see your journey of improvement (especially as someone who connected with/wants to main orcane as well).

How do you keep playing a game you get smashed at. I never play against friends in any fighting games because they just quit when I win.
You're really good for just 24 hours because of playing smash. You got GOLD. It took me like 200 hours before I win a single online game to get bronze 4
Smash gave me a really good foundation for rivals for sure
It also taught me how to not get tilted. Took me a bit to learn that one

as a man who multi mains: olympia,kragg,pomme,zetteburn and ori, i absoluetly hate getting outplayed by orcane players, but it happens to me every time.
Wait there stil are new players in rivals?! Dam it I thought they were just trying new mains. I bodied too many of them I just hope they don't quit.
Getting bodied is part of learning, and I've had a blast learning this game!
