Even though I don't collect US stamps I can appreciate looking at the stamps, especially with the identification of stamps with common designs but scarce due to watermarks and printing. I specialize in Austria and have a rather substantial collection, from very common to scarce.
Thanks for a great video! It was interesting to see the information on the certificates and your showing the different defects and also the excellent characteristics of the stamps themselves. I am learning from your videos! Love that!
Your content and the information within is unmatched. I've been watching stamp collecting videos on TH-cam for the last 4 years and I've learned so much and continue to learn more with each video you make. This one in particular. Some things I'd love to see in cert videos like this: 1. What you plan to do with the stamp based on the cert? Will you keep it, sell it? If you do plan to sell it, how will you interpret the info in the cert to determine your price point? 2. Leave the stamp's Scott info and value on screen the whole time you discuss the stamp. Thanks for all the hard work. Content creating can be a very stressful chore. Just know there are people like me getting a worthwhile education from your effort.
Thanks for your awesome feedback and suggestions! I especially agree with leaving the info up longer. I thought the same thing when I watched it back. I also may try a third camera next time to only be closeups so I can set the stamp down to make it more stable and without having to focus it in. I’m new at this so the videos should improve over time. All the stamps I review are sold in my Facebook group U.S. Stamp Shop. As far as determining the sale price it’s usually a factor of face value depending on the issue, grade, and condition. And just knowing the market from studying it over time. You can see prices realized on the Stamp Values page on my website stampcollectors.us by entering a Scott number and seeing the sold prices based on grade and condition.
I’ve been binge watching your videos all afternoon. I’m over in Bend and just entered the stamp collecting community and these have been so incredibly helpful thank you sir
hello, I am enjoying your videos. I would like to see a video on tools of the trade and the process what having stamps certified ( packaging, insurance cost) as well as grading procedures and costs. Thanks
I just started watching to learn about stamps. I was gifted a stamp & coin collection by someone that had passed away so lm extremely new at both. One problem lhave had with the stamps is they fly away in any breeze, when l was trying to go thur them my dog kept running pasg. & there they fly...and as far as stamps go, theres so much to learn, l may die before l learn it all!!!
Thank you for these fantastic videos !! I've never had it, but ive witnessed those who suffer from dandruff. It looks exactly like the " dust " in your protector sleeves. Or someone with an old dog, or multiple cats. id say 90% human dandruff
I don’t use it. Mainly because I use a Mac and it’s not available. But also because ive seen results from it that I didn’t agree with probably due to it not knowing specific issues. I tend to do better with just my eyes. But if you’re new to grading perhaps it could be useful. But I wouldn’t be suprised if its results didn’t match the expertizing services results.
Thank you for the detailed explanations on each stamp. I really enjoy your videos!
Great video!!! Very informative and educational. YES, please add more videos like this.

When spending over a 100 ... stamps should be certified...✳️

awesome job buddy, thank you
The detailed reviews are great for education and entertainment. If you have the time and wouldn't mind sharing how you go about sourcing.
Thanks for the feedback! I’m a stamp dealer so most of my stock comes from other collectors who contact me for appraisals.
Very nice video, stamps and information!
Thank you! I also enjoy many of your videos as well 👍

Could be. But some might be paper as well because he handles a lot of stamps
Thank you. I really like the way this video was done. Do you ever do European stamps 🕊️🕊️🕊️
Right now I only plan on doing US. But who know maybe I’ll venture out if I run out of material
@Ryan Which watermark detector do they use for the MNH stamps? Also, what is the process of submitting a certificate to Crowe? Thank you.
I use Ronsonol lighter fluid for watermark detection. Best way to contact Crowe is by email. wtcrowe@aol.com
🅾️ Slab stamps like coins 🅾️
What's the cost to send stamps to be evaluated
The minimal cost for a certificate of authenticity is around $25-$30
I don't care for e grading what do you think?
I don’t use it. Mainly because I use a Mac and it’s not available. But also because ive seen results from it that I didn’t agree with probably due to it not knowing specific issues. I tend to do better with just my eyes. But if you’re new to grading perhaps it could be useful. But I wouldn’t be suprised if its results didn’t match the expertizing services results.
Why not use APS or PF for certification?
For identification they cost a bit more so I go with Crowe. Like I said he used to be with PSE and still is an outsourced expert for certain issues.
Can I send you some pictures of my stamps just to see if they're worth sending in for a certificate or not?
You can post some photos of what you have here stampcollectors.us/collectors-forum-board/us-stamp-values/
