Since the filming of this….. the ridge line section that drops into Champery seems to be out of bounds for bikers. The rest of the loop is still fine though
@@MtbTrailHub ah that's a shame that bit looked amazing. I'm probably going to hire. a guide when I'm out there as I'm going to Morzine with the family and don't want to ride by myself plus they can show me the way
@@MtbTrailHub I can confirm. I did it for the first time today despite the "no bikes" sign. (No way I was going to go back after climbing to the "Col de Cou".) Got yelled at by some angry hiker. At least others were nice :)
@@MtbTrailHub I love flowtrails but also natural ones that aren't to rough as I'm probably gonna take a short travel bike because I want to pedal to the top most days. I'd like to enjoy some epic scenery as you did and my skill level isn't toplevel but definetly above average. Thanks for answering so fast :)
M Lipp for the epic scenery I would recommend the portes du soleil route which you can see more of in part 2 of this video(its a big day out though mind you) . For flow trails I would say top of Les Gets bike park(Nauchets or Super Morzine) . As for natural tech that isn’t to rough...... that’s tricky but maybe look out for Morgins which is the very far corner of the PDS. I hope that helps a bit. Hi, Unfortunately a few of the 'add-on' sections of this ride have now been taken over by walkers. Lot's of big no biking signs and a lot of unhappy Frenchies! However the majority of this ride was on the passports du soleil route which is well signposted throughout. It still takes you across to the swiss side and back. Great adventure. I don't have a gpx for the passports route but i'm sure it will be easy to track down online. Sorry i can't be of more help
Thanks! a bit part of it was the Portes du soleil route which is marked with red signs. But we did detour and hike an extra mountain which is now closed to bikers. Lots of big red signs for no biking and angry hikers. Probably not worth the hassle now. The PDS route is still amazing and well worth a ride.
WheelyNewb haha ..... I’ve not ridden the YT but they both seem very popular these days.... I don’t think there is much in it tbh...... depends what trails you ride the most really......

Yes it’s a detour off of the main PDS xc route. I think it’s out of bounds these days though due to walkers/ biker conflicts.
