It does help with not creating bumps because the blue guards inside of the blade pushes the skin down so that the blades do not shave directly on the skin. This is why some people say it gives a bad shave…But it doesn’t give a bad shave. It simply does what it’s supposed to do by not shaving too close to the skin so that you don’t bump up.
Been using the skin guard for the past 2 weeks now and I love it. Used to use a safety razor before but this gives a nice quick irritation free head shave. I rate it 💯 love from the UK fam 🇬🇧👌

That handle is the starter one, you can use any fusion handle and it will work.

In your opinion what is the best razor to do a close shave for sensitive skin
Most men's razor I used in the past years of my male life have good grip for head and face shaves..
This was my first razor I tried, used a shaver before. Yeah, shaving my head with this razor really takes a while and I did manage to cut myself, because gripping the razor for the back of my head is really awkward and I got impatient since I had to go over and over the same spots. I'm trying the gillette mach 3 next.
Did you ever try the Mach 3? I like it overall. Have been thinking of trying out the Skin Guard
I just started using Gillette 3X shaving cream for sensitive skin. A small about will do your whole head. When it says 3X..... a small amount triples in volume plus the shaving cream is thick too.
Agreed! Aha ima have to keep the 3x on my counter now. It's been boxed up with the rest of my review products but I'm loving it again

Keep in mind that 2 blade razors such as the SG are gonna wear out faster than 5 blade razors.

King Gillette has the same refill cartridges (razors for neck shaving) that will fit on the handle and they are cheaper. It is the same company

Hi.... I got a few bumps. I think I shaved too hard and I shaved in about 3 directions. Do you think that's the reason?
You should try The Broman, it's like a double edged safety razor that uses disposable blades, but the head turns like it would with a Gillette. It basically removes the learning curve. Very mild razor.
The best way I’ve found to hold it when head shaving the back is imagine you’re holding “HeadBlade” with thumb under the handle end and four fingers over the back of the handle with the pinkie on the back of the blade. Always worked for me. Haven’t used the “Skin Guard” though all Gillette blades are the same ergonomics. Hope it helps.

Hey Nate I found it shaved pretty well but it was slipping out of my hand in the shower. Also if you leave it with the razor down that jell strip sticks and comes off when you pick it up the next day. Not well thought out!
What razor would you suggest in its place?
I have SAME gripes about this and all Gillettte handles. Slippery as heck and your finger will naturally fall on the eject button

Try the skin guard bro. It’s very unlikely you’d cut yourself or get razor bumps. Just don’t get overly excessive with the amount of passes. Great for beginners.

The Schick Hydro5 for Sensitive Skin is a great razor blade to use for men of color. Absolutely no razor bumps and it gives a real close shave to your head

You should cut against the grain with that razor. Shave from the bottom to the top and Cut everything to the center of the head for the closest shave possible. Been using it for years. Plus I use 1 razor per month

The worst thing about razors is that flex mechanism. It rotates too much. Makes it too easy to cut yourself.

How is it in regards to razor bumps? I retreated to Andes trimmers, because I break out so bad with razors. Are there any razors that truly eliminate this? Or should I stick to my trimmers?

@@WorldwideJamal I use aloe vera and after I shave I put on B&C skin tight for aftershave for in grown hair , it's a creame you can find it at Walmart. I have sensitive skin but that razor helps a lot, no burns.

No its not. Its designed to cut the hair above skin level so you don't get bumps. You might as well use a regular razor if you're doing it like that

Lols 100% agreed! I don't use it if I shave in the shower but I mainly keep using it for videos to make sure I'm still in frame of the camera. I think I did a recent video without it tho 😅
