Minerva is potentially an 8 attack deck if you get really lucky with your chamomiles in soul. Likely it’ll be a 6 at best consistently. I’m so excited to play with her and learn all the combos and stuff
@@halohawkxx okay front row is currently Angelica/Minerva/Angelica back row is Painkiller/any/any Angelica swings unboosted (1), soulblast chamomile and sends herself to soul, chamomile calls herself out. repeat with other Angelica (2). Chamomile swings with boost from painkiller (3), painkiller soulblast melissa and retires self to draw one, melissa calls herself in place of painkiller AND refunds a soul. other chamomile attacks with booster (4). Minerva attacks (5) and does her thing to soulblast 2 chamomiles and a melissa to fill in the other 3 rearguard circles. Minerva restands. Minerva attacks again (6). lastly attack with both chamomiles boosted by melissa (7+8). it may be worth it to run fronts just for massive power boosts over draws if we find she has enough draw power!
Maelstrom in my testing really good with highroll at turn 3 or persona ride kill combo potential, it can hit at high power and really consistent having restander because of maelstrom and the order
Mael is very weak against defensive triggers though and his defense alone is quite weak because most Tear Dragons you run are g3s. With that said you can't let yourself be pushed to 4 or more dmgs unless you have PR.
Can’t wait till shojodoji gets support that binds cards from hand and draw cards from cards returned to hand. I feel like that kinda support will boost the deck so much
kheios has a lot of destructive potential… the new mikani allows you to save ur order to call out brainwash for power or quen lu for guard restrict while still being able to give ur mikani power. if you can push your opponent to 4 by ur first g3 turn, if they don’t overwhelm u back and kill u by their next turn, their in for trouble, and if u can call out two mikanis, make it double.
I just got back into vanguard after a long time, this was very informative on what to expect. I'm kinda curious if the Vtuber cards will be in the American release
I hope we get this set someday on dear days if possible. I wouldn't mind if this was the last vanguard game for the switch, I just want permanent future sets

I'm torn on the tamayura support. I like the dolls, but I've been playing Tamayura with Elba, using maidens to hyper charge my front row. I'm going to be playing around a lot with the new support to find a proper balance...
Maelstrom is incredibly weak in defense though, because most Tear Dragons are g3 plus the set order. There is no units to increase the shield. The deck's defense is so weak that Drajewelled will destroy it when Drajewelled made first appearance.
Weibiros (Brandt Gate Monster RRR) is just an RRR because it's an adorable monster carrying a fight stick. Seriously, I just want an SP for the art it's so cute eeee (I don't build IRL decks btw)
13:40 to my knowledge you can't run that G1 in Arcite as she's not a glitter. Besides even if that wasn't the case ya still wouldn't since Arcite barely discards plus she's obsessed with Kaijus
Another thing to note here with Minerva is that, if she goes First, and goes against sth that needs the opp VG to be G3, you can actually stall the Ride first, due to the fact that once your opp rides into G3 first, its kill time for Minerva. Going second is just a cherry on top. And its actually a very vital play against Chronojet, due to Stride ruling.
Not really, defensive triggers can stopped most of Minerva attacks. Minerva needs to be on Persona Ride to explode her power. Stalling is definitely NOT recommended! Also trying and stall with Welstra. Putting Maximum in play will completely shut Minerva down if you try to stall

Heck, most multiattack decks are balanced by the fact that they don't have enough power per attack. If they don't its usually due to the fact that something else balances them out. (Bastion being -1 and usually may brick) Multiattack decks have almost always been the better choice. And riding into Minerva while battling Rorowa or Jet? Not recommended. They literally explode when you take the first g3 ride. Otherwise if you're sure they cant kill you for going first, then go ahead and put the Persona Ride strat into priority.

Am I missing something about the new order card for Thegrea? Like, is there just something I'm not seeing? I keep hearing people say that it makes the deck faster.... but is riding into Dark Thegrea and getting a restand without power from persona ride even good? Then the next turn you persona ride into light Thegrea, so you don't get the powerful Vanguard restand anyways? Like, the people saying that it's an amazing card that speeds the deck up, could you please explain to me what I'm missing?
Haven't tested yet, will tomorrow, but from what I've heard and talked with some buds, it's essentially the fact that Thegrea now has access to 4 attacks(being Vanguard) on turn 3. And while you could use Light Thegrea, it's possible to use another copy of the order to ride into Dark Again with the G1 Maple boost if you need it as such. Again, from what I've heard and talked. Will test soon and see

I disagree about the grade 1 Dark States card. A free 13k booster that goes into the soul and draws you a card if she hits seems pretty solid. Yeah you gotta call from soul, but that doesn't seem bad with Silver Thorn. EDIT: Also Emilios doesn't work the way you describe. It doesn't care about the same column, it cares about the circle. So you call over something g1 or less (like a plant token) and it gains the power and gives you a draw.
Set 8 overall is still a skip to me. Probably going to just pickup Micomet stuff and some of the really good generics and just majorly hold off till 9 as I'm super Hype for the new cards they've shown
G3 Radylina only gains the power of the Momokke token retired, so no easy 90k attacks (it wouldn't work anyway since G2 Radylina only gains the power until end of battle)
No one asked for my thoughts but here it is. Stoichea, Honestly maelstrom is very niche and just not looking good to me, flagburg being the much better alternative and the new support we got for stoichea was nice but I can't agree on giving it more than a 4/5 Dark states, makes me abit on edge as a i woudve liked better kheios support (the deck really can't keep up) but i REALLY think luquier was really good and from the proxy matches shess been insanely efficient at what she does without much of a cost so that makes me give it a solid 4/5 Keter, do i have even have to explain?5/5 Dragon empire, I don't see the new rideline being good but tamayura support makes it so that I think I can justify a 4/5 Brandt gate, decent new rideline broken Eva support, 5/5 Overall this set is pretty fair to most nations and gave it equally good cards and they either give a clan a good rideline or really good support lol.
I hate to inform you, but Shoshodoji is the ultimate Xoverdress and Overdress killer deck. Once you return the card it will be count all the dress materials too. Also Vils Vairina can't counter that.
Really hope Gramgrace will be able to contend with the current climate. Of course there will be decks that don't match well but I hope to at least put up a damn good fight at locals. Also a Maelstrom player I hope the deck is strong ;-; Maelstrom himself just feels underwhelming to me.

We will, it's just the release for the sets on the game is too delayed to the set releases, like we don't get set 6 till next year in game

I recommend g1 and g2 orders. Don't play g3 order at all because it waste too much souls, when you need to use that for Ririmi and Rarami g1 and 2.
