Maia integration is a brilliant feature. It's probably the only chess engine worth playing in the longer term as it attempts to behave in a human-like manner. Most chess bots can't be played in the longer term as they aren't enjoyable to play again-and-again.
With the board able to connect to online chess platforms WITHOUT the requirement and complexity of connecting through another device (PC or phone), this potentially makes the device a simple all-in-one solution that no other electronic chess board is. I'm excited to see this in person!

Pretty cool. But I think for a truly revolutionary electronic chessboard it needs to do three things: 1) move the opponents pieces on its own as its disrupting to have to move the pieces for both sides. The piece movements need to be quick, smooth, and as silent as possible. 2) Allow chess book imports full with playable pgns. Imagine reading your favorite chess book attached right on the board panel with playable pgns imported into the board? 3) It needs to double as a regular board like a DGT board that records the moves on its own. Any other features are just icing on the cake. A company that is able to do these three things will put the competition out of business. I already have the SquareOff Kingdom set. It gets the job done but its a far cry from where it could be with today's technology. I understand brands like chessnut shine in their own way but its appalling how far behind we are in chess technology other than chess engines.

How would the knight move over pieces?

      Hey there
We're working on launching a smart chess robot and we'd love to get your input to make it the best it can be! We're particularly interested in hearing from potential users like you about what features you'd like to see and what you think would be a fair price.
Just to give you some context, we're a team within a leading AI company in Asia, focused on developing chess robots. We've already introduced two successful board game products that combine top-notch AI technology with robotic arms. They've been a hit in China for the past 2 years, finding their way into tens of thousands of households.

This does look good. I have the Chessnut Air which works seamlessly. Def recommend.

I can't wait for this and hope it ships when they say it will and that the boards work as stated. If this board also exceeds expectations like the Air does for me, I will become a Chessnut lifer and only use their products.
Honestly looks like this board does far more than that new Mephisto Phoenix chess computer does. That standalone computer also costs like $1200 without a board and at cheapest another $400 for a board that works with it.

Hola. Una pregunta, si tuvieras q elegir entre este y el SquareOff, con cuál te quedarías de los dos? Merece mucho la pena la opción de que se muevan las fichas solas?. Es un factor que merece la pena? . Gracias 😊.
