Great to see another club across the pond having a fab "Fly- In Day" for members and alike. I use to be the chairman of our local flying club and we also arranged a awesome day like this. Great for community building. Myself and other instructors gave free trial flying lessons to anyone who wanted (as guest's) using buddy leads. It was a great day, even with a full size helicopter we managed to land and offer free short flights in. Now I'm more into my drone photography and videos, but will always remember our good old Flying days 👍👍😁😁🌈🌈✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
Been playing with my futura more when running tailheavy I decided to run 100% rates on elevator and it doesn’t go into an accelerated stall it just acts like an air brake stopping it right where you tell it and goes strait up but I recommend keeping the gyro when flying like this. And yes I know I need to get someone to record so I can show the futura hovering, been trying out new things like a tripod but it doesn’t focus just seems impossible to do it myself. Hoping I can make some of those events and maybe even fly with you someday.
I really enjoyed this video Jon! Was laughing at the T-28/warbird landings and at the Larger Scale Jet have diarrhea too drifting on landing. Thanks for the GoPro idea on dropping out of the EC-1500, How big of parachute did you use to hold that weight with that airtime you had? Awesome video!
Hey question for the comments. Does anyone know of a r/c aircraft “tug”? I’m looking for something to tow my planes out into place, and be able to release it with a button.
I’m not sure where he dredged this up from - I’m frequently amazed by how differently people can perceive the same things in modern-day America. Starting to think we have a national mental health crisis.

This is the parachute we use: amzn.to/3ReWfrS - we'd recommend touching up with CA glue where the cords meet the parachute for longevity and strength.
Man, I would chainsaw that big tree. Bet there is a bunch of stories about that one. Props to the jet for getting over the trees and stopped!
Sometimes trees are.a good thing. My buddy had his elevator lock up today and he managed to swing it into a tree to break the fall. Worked perfectly.
