The Data Science Africa DSA 2024 - Nyeri Summer School

The Data Science Africa (DSA) 2024 Nyeri Summer School and Workshop started today at the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT), Main Campus, Nyeri from June 3rd to 7th, 2024.
The event will delve into crucial and emerging topics in data science, such as Generative AI, Edge Machine Learning (Edge ML), and Natural Language Processing (NLP). These subjects, not only at the forefront of technological innovation, but also with significant practical applications, underscore the real-world impact of data science on societal well-being.
In his opening remarks, Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter N. Muchiri emphasized the University's strong commitment to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. He explained that DeKUT focuses on integrating research and development (R&D), human capital development, and innovation, which are then channelled into entrepreneurial ventures.
