1:00 You don't need to put any of your workshop items on your hotbar or in your pod. Anything left in your general inventory will travel back with you and be repaired. Just don't leave them in a container on the planet.
The Adlift Module + Backpack bug still exists, however. If you leave in your dropship with a backpack on and an Adlift Module installed, the module will be deleted. I hope it inevitably gets patched. The bug somehow deleted both of my modules, including the 5% movement speed one. I've been able to replicate this bug everytime.
This is also a bad tip because there is currently still a bug where if you place workshop items in the drop pod you can potentially lose them, pod for exotics , period, the rest anywhere on you, your mileage may vary but be warned.
4:00 Flame Arrows as light, there is now a gamma setting under graphics, I just put it on max. It makes the menu look washed out, but in the actual game it looks fine, you can easily operate at night or even in caves without needing an additional light. Its much better than the flame arrow ever was. I still use a lantern in the caves just because it makes it easier to id some ores from far away, but its not at all neccessary.
Tip 9 - I'm able to get shelter in rocks with just 3 hits of a pickaxe on the base of a rock. Just crouch and you can get shelter. Your head may clip through the rock but it gives storm protection and has the benefit of being very quick and allows you to see outside the rock.
Hiding in a carved out rock can also (if the rock is big enough) save you from a bear, you'll be able to shot it or use a spear on it but it wont be able to get you. Also wolfs sometimes lose you when you go into these rocks but beware they can come in if they spot you.
For bears, use the dodge technique. (you will get one shot at the bear before you dodge right or left when it charges you) but you won't have to get into a rock or a pond with a bear on your tail.
For stamina I usually make all the 3 buffs that you can make at the herbalist bench. When you equip all 3 together, it just works awesome. 2 full rounds of buffs before the countdown goes to zero. Sometimes I just take the extra stamina buff and when its almost depleted I'll use the Stamina regen buff, so it regens faster. (you can use this while mining for rocks and minerals as well. These buffs are quite cheap to produce)
Also, make the backpack for the mining runs. Gives you more carry weight and a full row of inventory. (unequip it at any bench if you're going to carry the carcasses of animals while hunting to the skinning bench)
Wait... So you can keep your oxygen tank, canteen and modules equipped as normal, and have your hot bar (1-0) filled with workshop items and exotics, in addition to the 5 drop ship slots? Up to 19 items depending on your suit equipment slots?
You may be lucky that the map doesn't tank your frames, but for allot of people spamming the M button will likely adversely effect your performance and possibly lead to a crash if you have memory issues, I wouldn't recommend that so broadly, if you don't currently have issues great, but as the map doesn't work like in e.g. Rust don't do this if you are playing on a low to medium performing PC, I run on a 3070 RTX and it still tanks my frames due to the way the game handles the map rendering/loading. Exotics should spawn on every map after doing Pay Day Extraction and Deep Vein Extraction, but this is also currently bugged and are only available on a handful of the missions.
What ores are considered exotic? I've run across all of them used in crafting: iron , copper , gold , aluminum, platinum and titanium. To mine the latter 3 u need at least at steel pick axe.
One more super useful tip. Once you die, instantly press alt+f4. You will quit the game and load a save within one minute of your alt+f4 position. Saves a lot of XP and time. Good luck ;)
I have more exotics then gold , because I can fly with high speed over the map and farm them. I doublicate it with cheat engine. Gold is online calculated , it spend more time.
This game is easy as it is, giving tips is making it even easier. Come to think of it, thats the reason why people expectations are getting lower and lower with each new game. You buy a game, you do not want to think how to work its magic, you go check couple of these videos and THEN you play it. Why? Whole magic is gone.Essentially you stop playing games and just watch other people do it, which is hilarious.

Thing you should know #11: Bears can swim underwater now! No more days of swimming to the bottom, and shooting up at them.
You can still poke them while swiming backwards. They are slower than a player in water :D
Just swim with it and shank it
Getting any animal to follow u into water is a easy way to kill it.

Tip 7 unlcear, I went from a lightning storm forest biome to a snowstorm tundra biome lmao
HEY, carving out rocks is my personal little trick that I totally invented. I feel so violated now... lol

Also put shadows LOW. You'll be able to see in caves perfectly.

the ore is called exotics
You feel that turning shadow down is cheating but not spamming M?
How is spamming the map cheating? It's like looking over at your GPS when you're road tripping.
What?

nice but also a little cheesy for me
Did you know - placing food in a drop pod will prevent decay?
You can use the Unstuck Option in a Cave to Respawn near your Drop Pod, & with all your Items. Doesn't work all the time, but it can Sometimes.
8/8/2024 spamming M still works
