The racing there is in another world compared to the UK. Went in 2020 for 3weeks toured round and went to 240 at Rotorua and the teams champs at Palmeston North . The country generally is the size of the UK with 5-6 million people, fantastic roads very friendly people and they are always smiling , fantastic country can't wait to go again . We live 30 mins from Manchester airport flew to Dubai around 7-8 hours then around a 2hour wait for flight to Aukland 16 hours a killer that's the worst part . New Zealand is like the UK 40 years ago but not in a backward way I mean lots of shops in every town , no shit in them no pound shops etc . Lots of British working over there in pubs , restaurants. My big regret in life is I should of gone 25 years ago and emigrated I am to old now . When I retire I would like to go and follow the racing for a season . K do wat h a lot on TH-cam though . Seeing it live is better .
Morgan thanks for that , whilst we were in Nelson we did drive round to the track !! I did see a few whilst we were there . I will keep following your progress and NZ superstock and stock cars from the UK on you tube. We have raced v8 hotstox ( rover engines) got sick of them , then four of us set up v8stockcarstourfacebook we use a sealed small block chevy a CT350 . We have used it for 3 seasons ( some short due to you know what ! ) never missed a beat . You would have to rebuild a rover every season that's if it didn't go bang . Budget 15 " Nankang tyres , zf gearbox and away to go .
