So many fun finds! Start saving misc recycling items too like paper towel rolls, caps/lids to bottles and containers, some egg cartons, there are so many activities that you can create using recycled/reused things! Excited to see your learning wall!
Omg I started my daughter on cutting (scissor) work when she was 2, almost 3 & it was terrifying, even with the "kids" scissors, they are still pretty sharp. I've put that activity on the back burner after the first few attempts, it was just too scary for me LOL. She's 3 now. But 4 is probably a pretty good age to do that! I love watching these types of videos! Shopping for kids educational or arts & crafts supplies is one of my favorite things to do. I plan to homeschool my daughter & I'm so excited for her to be able to do more school activities as she gets older.
My LO will be 3 this Dec and I’m definitely looking into getting a little space for her in our house to mimic a classroom, my 8 year old will be homeschooled this year for the first time ! Wish me/us luck ✨✨✨✨😉
Um can you come teach my little? My 2.5 yr old daughter was so excited when she say Sydney in her Elsa dress. Mine has one too and she had to put it on to watch the rest of this 🤣🥰
Dollar tree has added so much to their craft isle it’s awesome! And their workbooks/activity books are a hard deal to pass up! Awesome haul. She’s such a cutie!
You prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Clayton Jesus Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Clayton Jesus DAMN IT ACTUALLY WORKED :O I literally got access to my IG account details after ~ 40 minutes by using the site. Just had to pay 15 bucks but definitely worth the price :O Thanks so much you saved my account!
So happy I found your channel! You are gorgeous and you seem like a great mom. I will definitely be binge watching your videos today...LOL. I'm homeschooling a preschool girl, 2nd grade girl, and 5th grade boy!
I'm homeschooling my preschooler this year too. She really wanted to start school this year but with the numbers being super high in Florida I just dont feel it's safe bringing her to school yet, good luck with homeschooling this year!!
I like you and Sydney so much you are so motivated . I have 3 year old daughter which I believe same as Sydney’s age . Have enjoyed your video every time and do repeat it again and again to see . Love you all :)
A fun activity to do with the watercolors that the preschoolers I taught loved is writing letters or words or drawing something with a white crayon on white paper. As they paint it the words or picture will show up. It’s pretty cool and the kids I’ve done it with always love it.
My little guys 3 and we decided to start "homeschooling" him instead of sending him to daycare till things around here cool down. I love vids like this so I can see what cool things to buy that would be beneficial 💛
I love this, so proud of you! My oldest was supposed to go to Kindergarten this year, but because of the virus, I decided to just homeschool. I'm nervous but so excited because my dream job was to be a teacher lol. Nervous because I have to really keep up with everything we are going to be doing and keep a record for when we are able to put him in public school. I did a bunch of toddler activities with him in previous years and shared them on my TH-cam channel for mamas to get some inspiration to do with their toddlers! I have a 2.5-year-old as well and he loves to learn and do the activities with his brother, I'm not doing anything strict with him right now but it honestly is so much fun, I hope you 2 have a blast even if it is just for basic skills, still so important. PS: laminators are the BEST! I got one in college and fell in love lol
Totschooling has amazing free printables! I’m a teacher and have used their stuff for many years. They have some simple sequencing nursery rhyme activities which I think would be great for Sydney’s age. In case you’re looking for concepts to practice - sequencing and following multi-step directions would be great!
I do home preschool with my daughter too! You should check out the play smart activity books on amazon. They are AMAZING! There are a ton of different activities ranging from stickers, tracing, matching, mazes, cutting, pasting, folding, etc. and at the end of each book comes a laminated activity than you can use again and again.
Great haul Hayley! As a teacher I would advise you not to worry about Sydney writing on lined manuscript paper for quite a while. Just working on her letter formation and correct orientation using her finger in sand, foam and glitter is great in itself and then progress to letter formation using chalk and coloured pencils etc . I bought my 2 year old son the crayola first safety scissors and they work great. Look forward to seeing more of your homeschool videos ❤
I definitely had thought that paper is advanced for a 3 year old haha That’s ok! She will love coloring on it. We are getting there with the pencil grip though 😬
My son will be 3 in February and was supposed to start "pre-K" then, but Rona had other plans. So this is great timing. I've been looking to Monica J. Sutton's channel for what to "teach". Also I bought the Scotch brand kid scissors. They're pretty good, blunt but they work👍🏾
Great homeschool haul! I like Handwriting without tears (pre handwriting skills) it’s a gentle and way to teach letter and number formation. I also use a notebook for my son. I found great printouts from Etsy like “Learning meets fun”
@@TresChicMama You are welcome! I use to teach preschool and I have to constantly remember myself that I don't have to copy what I did in my classroom.
Hi hayley! Theres this idea from pinterest where (long thin) leaves are attached to a stick (or long twig) with a rubberband as a makeshift paint brush! So you can just throw it out after. I also hate clean up and always leave the paint brushes turn crusty. This is such a good idea and also so fun and different, aside from easy clean up! And you wouldn't have ti keep re-buying the sponge brushes :)
Love this, great ideas thank you.❤️ Watching with my daughter who loves Sydney and you’ve just made her day because she’s also wearing her Elsa costume 🥰😂🥰
My baby just fell asleep a few minutes into the video so I am taking the opportunity to work out and shower and do dishes because I can watch this later while he is awake (we'll see how much I get done) but I decided to drop a comment before I leave because I love you and you deserve more subs. I try to remember to comment something on every video to help the algorithm 😘 Keep up the hustle, mama!
Waiting for my Noah to be ready for pre-school! (He’s 22mo and I started watching your videos about breastfeeding when I was starting my journey as a mom). 💕 You look so cute w/ your hairstyle! Thank you for the ideas! ***Pencil grasp is really important for little kids in order to lear how to write :) so maybe she can practice how to hold her pen etc etc
Sometimes before school starts Target will have some things for .50 cents. I'm not sure if they did this year though and I'm not sure what the prices are at Walmart but, I do know it's worth checking out other stores besides the Dollar Tree Stores.
Hope you have a good taxman who can inform you how to deduct all these purchases as a cost of doing business for your channel. You can't call it homeschooling legally because Sydney is not school age, so not legally required to attend school (assuming schools were open). Is that Target in the opening sequence with all those great supplies? Oh, Dollar Tree. Good to know. I am surprised that Michael's is still open up there. Are their bins emptying out because they are going out of business or am I thinking of some other craft-type emporium? The wipe-it-clean pouch is a great idea as she learns. It may be advanced yet to expect her to learn to letter/print things within those lines. But perhaps by this time next year she'll be able to do so. If not, she can learn in kindergarten. Cursive writing is, of course, in early elementary school and nowhere near this soon. At these young ages, they are thrilled to learn new things. But, she's been learning all along. As you do things with her, we'll see how well they work for her age or their practicality, durability. Good to know one can get a laminator so inexpensively. That workbook looks superb. What a great variety of activities within it. No one needs more screen time. If you can do all these things in books and between you two, that's a big plus. I think it's a great idea to do a desert week, a mountain week, an ocean week, a forest week, a savannah/plains/veldt week, a jungle week. Such a wealth of things to learn about our planet.

Heads up with the colored popsicle sticks, if they get wet they bleed so you might have red/blue finger prints all over the house like I did 😂🤦🏼♀️

Maybe you can get some velcro dots the clear ones so you can add that to the pages you laminate and dont lose the cut outs.
Omg great idea!!! 🙌🙌🙌

Absolutely! I hit all 4 stores up in my area 😆 Walmart was the cheapest for glues & dollar tree had a great selection as well.
How is Sydney this well behaved when you're filming?? My daughter would so be like screaming in the background haha.
Dry erase markers
Yes! We have a ton of those on hand already 😃 but a must have
How is Sydney that old already 😭 great haul of some great ideas!
I know 😭 I mean technically preschool doesn’t start until 4 here and not mandatory at that, but still
The big preschool book is on sale on amazon for $5 right now if anyone is looking at getting it :)
Yes I linked it from Amazon in the description & saw it was only $5! Amazing deal for such a good book 🙌
