- You step back from the telescope as the rain falls in a steady downpour. There’s little use in continuing to peer through the mist, as you can only make out the moon and your own reflection. Still, the rain itself won’t put a halt to your research.
Rummaging through the contents of the astronomy room, you find what you are looking for, pausing a moment as the thunder swells and fades away. Mixed with the rain, it provides a calming ambience even as you quickly study the latest findings. You smile to yourself, alone in the quiet astronomy room, tapping your finger on the relevant symbol. Your theory was right!

I cannot thank you enough for these uploads. I have suffered with chronic insomnia most of my life, even short periods in childhood. I am on medication but sometimes that can not get me to a place where I can "drop off". These audios help tremendously!!!

@@Zdamaneta I like the mystery. Let's not solve this one. Some things are probably best left unknown. But yes, humans are avidly curious explorers. I say yeah!!! More space exploration and more earthly exploration too, like at the microscopic level, or the depths of the ocean.

When I was a kid I loved astronomy. Now I miss it.
Very easy to get back into it.
I did it, even though it took me 30 years to buy myself a new Zhumel 10" dobsonian scope and now it's my new relaxing addiction.
Your only option is now to get back into it. The sooner the better, I'd recommend Astrophysics for People in a Hurry as an intro to astronomy. It's great for beginners just getting started. Watch some TH-cam, memorize some basic astronomy facts, and you're on your way. Good luck with life.

This is so relaxing I was having a warm glass of milk, fell out of my chair, rolled under my bed, and had my socks on my ears. What a TRULY DELIGHTFUL EXPIERENCE

These videos help me pass bowel movements whenever I get constipated. I get a nice cozy blanket and some warm cider and saddle up on the throne for hours reading books and passing time... And an occasional BM. Love it ❤ thank you.

These are so amazing. I work in a place where having something nice in the background is not only helpful for privacy on the computer screen while I walk away and keeps the computer awake, but are calm and appropriate for late night patients.

Suggestion:
A more probable Astronomy scene on a roof-top open to the clear, moonless, stary night sky. The sounds you might have would be of:
🌟a brazier full of hot coals and a kettle of water on simmer - with the light directed away from the position next to the telescope
🌟wind-chimes, a weather-vane and a very slight breeze
🌟the occasional rolling/unrolling and scribbling on parchments and the wind blowing them around a bit and a paper-weight being positioned
🌟the corresponding positioning of a 3-legged stool
🌟maybe the pitter-patter of cat or dog paws - and maybe a mouse
🌟the hooting of owls
🌟a pot of hot tea being poured in anticipation of a long, chilly night of star-gazing
🌟the ruffling of blankets
🌟occasional whisperings between colleagues - probably in Italian - and mumbled reading from ancient ephemeri - probably in Latin or Arabic
...

I would need a few more bookshelves, a soft leather chaise, a mini fridge, & then I would never want to leave that room. It's so comforting, cozy, I can almost smell the dusty paper & old leather aroma that accompanies a well loved sanctuary. I'm comforted and relaxed just picturing it.

I love the warm lighting in the Astronomy Room, and the storm and rain on the window is to notch. I feel like I'm there.

After listening to this several times as mere ambient sound...I somehow found "new ears" at one point and was amazed by hearing a chair creak, the sound of a glass being placed on a wooden surface.
