Vetements designer Demna Gvasalia also works as a creative director at Balenciaga. That's why their designs have been similar (in terms of their ridiculousness). Also, a couple words about Vetements collection that you showed. It was inspired by Ukrainian/Russian/post USSR culture. There's a lot of prison/90's/gopnik inspired pieces (like the "Ukraininan flag track jacket" or "prison tattoo longsleeve") in that collection. In my opinion that was a terrible move by Demna. It was a very dark and intense time in the history of those countries and the fact that Demna trivializes something that brought a lot of pain to people and something that people experience right now is just insensitive. How tf do you turn something so damaging into a joke. Also here's how you pronunce the names: Maison Mar-zhe-la Vet-mon Again, love when you do fashion-related content.
