Very Informative video . Thank You! Myself and my wife are looking into training it around Europe in 2023.Luckily for me, my wife went to school in Lugano Switzerland and did travel around. It was very helpful knowing there are different train passes. Thanks again!
Amazing video. I’m spending my next semester In Barcelona and I’m taking 3 weeks after to travel around Europe a bit. This video helped a lot as i plan on taking trains
How do you prepare for the next train departure on a long haul. I can see on the schedules that there is literally 5 min to get to the next train track but it does not even list the next train tract or the name of the next train you will need to find. Thank you for your help.
Thanks for this! in the process of planning a 3 month trip as I'm not spontaneous enough to plan as I go 🤣 my question is, is there room for large suitcases on the train?
So what were the places you visited!? I'm interested in doing the same trip (3 month global pass). One thing I can't decide on is how to go about booking hostels. How many hostels did you book in advance? If you booked them all the day you arrived, were there any that were fully booked?
Need help! for my trip, I've seen that buying individual tickets will cost to me half of a global pass. But that is if I buy them in advance, but the web page show me that I have 5 to 8 minutes to get off a train, figure out where the next one is, and get on tht next one, I'm really afraid to buy the tickets and then not having enough time to catch each train I booked.
You've touched on a major difference between booking individual trips and getting the global pass. With the global, you get peace of mind. If you miss one train, you can just take the next. With booked trips, missed trains mean lost money. Where the global makes less sense is if you plan to stay a number of days in a few cities. The global pass is per-day rather than per-trip. Days you don't travel is money wasted. You can partly get around that by scheduling your first and last days in cities you want to spend more time in. Visit the first, say London, and see all you want to see _before_ activating your pass. Then end your pass by arriving in the other city you want to see most, say Paris. Spend time there _after_ your pass expires. If you end up in Paris but find the flight home is much cheaper from London, take a cheap bus to London.
Hey there! I am planning a 6 week backpacking trip starting the end of May. Plan on hitting at least 10 countries- and at least 2 cities in each. Do you think it would be worth getting the unlimited Eurorail pass? Would it be cheaper do you think than just purchasing as I go? Thanks for input?
In the more affluent European countries, the difference matters little. First class merely means less crowding. In other countries, the difference can be greater. I did my global three-months with first-class, but that let me ride second class when the people seem more interesting. The Eurail websites says there are other benefits of first class, but doesn't detail them. Check those out and see if they matter to you.
Hi. Does the global pass can be used to travel local in public transportation in country like: Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, London and Amsterdam? Thank you.
Hi, that was useful. Say I plan for a 7 days trip to 7 countries via train, is it all day time travel. Do we need to plan booking hotels for the night stay in each country?
Trains in Europe are so unreliable. Travel by car, plane, or if worse some comes to worst, travel by bus. Too many transfers by train. Oftentimes trains are delayed and you miss your transfer. Just rent a car. You'll save time and money, with less frustration.
This guy is not helping with anything to be honest. I appriciate that you put time and effort to come up with a video like this but regarding value you gave like .00000...1 You basically saying there are that available and this available , you can learn the military time from there. Why are you making the video??? just to tell me what is available which I can find from a single google search??? Tell me your your experience and precise information so that I can learn something that will help me make decisions. You sound like you are writing an eassay of 1000words about the topic you don't have any idea. Sorry
I am an Army brat who grew up in Europe......loved taking those trains! So much fun!
0:31 wasn’t expecting to see the Kuranda train during this video lol

Spain is also very beautiful. However, train tickets in the UK are quite affordable now~

Good video! Traveling by train is cheap. Although not as fast as flying, it is very student-friendly.

how early can you book a train seat in advance?
Thank you for making these videos very useful. How do you get to hostels and around cities? Do you use Uber, taxi or walking? What’s the best way?

I feel like flights are way too cheap in Europe to not take advantage of and get to places way faster
great video, thanks!
Does Eurorail work in the United Kingdom? ie.: Scotland, Ireland etc.
Thanks for this! in the process of planning a 3 month trip as I'm not spontaneous enough to plan as I go 🤣 my question is, is there room for large suitcases on the train?
I too need this answer
9:00 Whats up with this city being unsafe at night thing? Have you encountered a dangerous situation?
i like the pre ww1 map at 2:13 XD
Eurail good to travel from london to paris? Or viceversa?
Nice video with very useful information!
So I can just show Up and use the pass right? I don’t have to reserve a day unless it’s the overnight train?
So what were the places you visited!? I'm interested in doing the same trip (3 month global pass).

@@Inkling777 Does the global pass work on local transport inside EU countries? Or is it just to travel between the EU borders?

Hiya, can I join you by chance if going from London pls
hi! i also planning 1 month backpacking from 24 may!
Rent a car. Trains involve multiple transfers. Oftentimes, trains are delayed which cause you to miss your transfer.
Did you already go on the trip? And if so how was it!?
Hey do you think it’s worth getting a first class ticket or is 2nd good enough? Going for 2 months and getting the global pass.

So if I travel to a place that is 4 hours away does that take a day away from the pass or just the 4 hours?
My assumption is that you’ll have that day to take the train and whether you do or not it counts as a full day
thanks a lot :) very informative
Hi. Does the global pass can be used to travel local in public transportation in country like: Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, London and Amsterdam? Thank you.
Yes my freand. You can even rent a bike with it. Of a prostitué
No, it cant
New susbscriber here!!!
Hi, that was useful. Say I plan for a 7 days trip to 7 countries via train, is it all day time travel. Do we need to plan booking hotels for the night stay in each country?
I’m maybe a little late, but Interrail has some packages for 5 or 7 days travel, you’ll get the best information on their webpage
How did you go? Did you have fun?
Is it consecutive 3 months you have to travel?
for the global pass yes
If I got tickets as I go. How do that work visas for each country? Buy tickets get visa same time?
Get Schengen Visa in advanced so you're good to pass between countries without problems.
hey can I ask a question about using the trainline in Europe going from Paris to greece?
How fast do trains go
Beautiful
How much did your three months in Europe cost? How did you make the money at 18? I've made quite a lot by getting a job, obvious haha
Awesome!
Thanks for this tips.
