Convicting grace is the work of the Holy Spirit thru the gospel, and the word of Christ. Where is the need for extra grace there if the word of God is the grace itself? It is just like presenting the punishment to those who commits crime, warning them to stop and ask for pardon. Punishment for criminals, freedom for the ones who asks for pardon. Why go to such mystical doctrines?

Very fascinating: Convicting grace- front porch; Justifying grace- doorway; Sanctifying grace- the whole house.
I'm struggling with why Wesley or = wouldn't have classified convicting grace as a later/tail-end facet of prevenient grace.
