I was there in 61and I have 8mm film of the race. I have film of Sterling Moss driving the real first Ford Mustang that they didn't produce around the track after the race. So glad someone posted this.

Were you there for the 1980 F-1 race . If you were do you remember the crazy guys at turn 11 (BOG CORNER)with the scaffolding and the art work the of the cars hanging from it . That would be myself and my great friends from Utica New York.

Was it a paid full time job or is it voluntarily?
I would love doing something like that but already have a good full time job and would only do it voluntarily.

Stewart's Tyrrell flirting with the limit cresting the hill at the Esses struck a chill in me. Overall, I appreciate the care that went into crafting and editing this piece. It's satisfying when the narrator is speaking specifically about what we're seeing on the screen. Neither the visual nor the narration seem "tacked on." It's all solid and I found myself transported in nostalgia. Somewhere there once existed a photo captured with one of those cheap "instamatic" cameras (the kind that took a cartridge) of the back of Sir Jackie as he headed for the podium!
Nothing like the security surrounding today's F1 existed and I found myself carried along in a stream of fans pouring out from the infield and somehow on the path from the pits to the podium when this tiny guy in a grey race suit came marching through. The crowd dutifully parting for him (even years before he was an actual "sir") and I got the shot! Shame it only exists in memory now.

I had 200 acres right down the road, my property butted up next to the race track, I drove on the original road track many many times
