This looks sexier than most of other scooters because of its wheels, hope the future scooters will have bigger wheels like this.

The advantage of large wheels is that you don't get any wobble at high speed so you don't need a steering damper. Also, the large wheels makes it easier to go over bumps, pot holes, and curbs. The short stem also provides rigidity and stability. This scooter is perfect for the city. I really hope other manufacturers start making large wheel scooters.

this isn't true and is 100% dependent on geometry, which is not driven by wheel size at all, and is determined by headtube angle. The city has 2 things going for it that make it more stable: The base of the platform was engineered to be closer to coplanar with the axles, and the headtube is at far more of a slack angle. A Harley and a motoGP bike have the same front wheel size, but one requires a steering damper to combat wobble because one is engineered to have much less headtube angle because of the steering response it requires. Scooters don't really need snappy steering, and all of them should be engineered with a much more slack headtube angle.

Hey Dad, I recently bought a City, It is my first scooter so I don t have any experience, and I found that I have wobble after 40 km/h but not all the time, sometimes I reach 70 km/h with no problem, and the stem locking sistem and everything is rock solid, no cracks, no movement, everything perfect. I may think that is s my position because I oftenly do not lean backwards when I accelerate or when I drive with high speeds. Could you help me with some tips? Could it be something mechanical, waranty related? Or maybe just my driving style and unexperience? I also drove a friends much smaller dualtron popular and no wobble, in comparison.
    Thank you!

Hey @Up Cycle Electra... I'm not one who take my Scooters Off Roading (I like to keep my Scooters in pristine condition, like New. I KNOW... my OCD, don't judge me)
The CITY is in a CLASS all its Own. It is truly a game changer, nothing really out there to compare. It is a REAL JOY to Ride and conquers ALL the CITY challenges Riders once had with compromised ROAD Conditions. The Jury is still out for those who love Off Roading their Scooters (I would NEVER take ANY of my 32 Power Scooters Off Roading) maybe SOON enough, we will definitely hear another horror story of how someone took this amazing CITY dweller, Off Road and destroyed it LOL!
I think the perfect Off Road (two wheel) Scooter is the Mosphera ($9000+)... and the best by far (four wheel) Scooter is The EZ Raider HD4 ($19,000+).
There are some less expensive choices out there but they are not really made for Off Roading, so i wont name them but I think you know which they are.

Actually they aren't that short Buddy. They just made the Steering Pole shorter because of all the space between the Headset and Swing Arm.
The Bar is at 50" from the ground and 38" from the Deck. Most people want TALL but the perfect height for your Bar is if you were standing on your Deck with your arms down, the Bar should hit right at your navel or your arms at 110° to 130° angle. That elbow bend will give you the safest and most controllable position for riding an eScooter.

I don't support the Bronco Xtreme anymore, because the Owner of Bronco Motors refused to take care of customers whom they shipped eighteen defective units to (instead, they chose to ship Controllers and step down units to unskilled Consumers). When my controller arrived, it too was defective. Of all the Manufacturers who had major problems with their Scooters in 2021, Bronco Motors was the ONLY one who chose not to take care of the Customers with defective units. Since i buy ALL my Scooters like every other Consumer, i only support reputable Manufacturers and Vendors who take care of Customers and provide Safe, Quality Scooters.
I had to pay RION ($1700 dollars making my Scooter a $7,000 dollar Scooter) to remove ALL my defective Bronco components and replace them with high quality RION Components. Now, I have a totally different Scooter. A Hyper Scooter I now call... The RIONized "X" bronco. I no longer speak about bronco (as I don't trust the Manufacturer because I know they DO NOT CARE ABOUT Consumer Safety or will NEVER stand behind their Product)
As for the Dualtron X2 (My Favorite eScooter out of The 32 Power Scooters I've Purchased and Ride) There is no comparison to the DTX2 on the Market ANYWHERE. I am still looking for the Scooter that can compete and BEAT the Dualtron X2 (apples to apples) and become my new Favorite.
Yes, there are Scooters out there that may have a better feature here and a better feature there, but when you compile ALL the Scooters' Data, The Dualtron X2, still comes out on TOP of ALL Electric Scooters.
The Dualtron CITY is like the Dualtron X Brand, in the sense that they ARE in a CLASS all by their selves.
There is nothing out there to compare to The Dualtron CITY. It is soooo different and the RIDE is so welcoming, pleasant, assuring, comfortable and Safe. It just pushes all the buttons to WHAT any eNthusiast would identify as a REAL CITY Commuter
It's big wheels allow Safer CITY Rides (when it comes to compromised ROAD conditions), it has enough torque to pull hills, enough speed to satisfy the occasional rush and/or need, the Range is on another level (especially with the Swappable Battery that allows 100 miles of Range), it's nimble, has great throttle management and super FUN to RIDE.
The CITY gets tons of attention on the streets and allow experienced Riders to talk to all sorts of pedestrians about Micro Mobility (recruiting many new Buyers, Users and future Scootopians to the PEV Family) I have the same affect when Riding my Dualtron X2 and the RION... people flock around them asking many questions.
I TRULY think EVERY eNthusiast should HAVE or ADD The CITY to their collection of Scooters. It is a MUST HAVE CITY Commuter (nothing like it on the road) it can definitely be a first time buyer's first and last purchase, they'll be that happy. ONLY the NEED for Hyper Speed will drive them to add or buy another eScooter.

@@bigsammy991 I wouldn't say, it feels Safer (they both probably tie for Safety) I don't know about the sketchy part but it is more nimble of course, and definitely more portable.
As for the overall Ride, that's tough between the two, Because they both are real joys to Ride... which one will I grab faster for a nice city Ride, probably the CITY. Just a quick, grab and GO kinda Scoot. They're both real STABLE probably the X2 is more stable because of its weight, wide patch on the ground, robust wide steering pole, larger deck, motorcycle shocks and power to keep it fluid. But on the other hand, the build, size, weight, wheel size, smooth throttle control, short steering pole, torque and speed make the CITY a formidable competitor for ANY City Commuter.
I think if we compared them both to Scooters in their CLASS... they BOTH would win out on TOP for sure. They are just both well built Scooters that I think will stand the test of time in their Classes and reign supreme for some time.

There is actually no comparison between the two (and yes [as a Power Scooter Guy] the DTX2 is worth double the value)
You have to compare the CITY to Scooters in its Class. There are barely more formidable Scooters that can compare on one or two features but apples to apples There is no Scooter that can compare overall to the DTX2. With the DTX2 you are literally getting the KING of Electric Scooters.
So that says a lot about the unique build and capacity of the CITY.

What a lot of people are missing here is one of the reasons why bicycles and motorcycles have better stability. Yes geometry has something to do with it, but larger wheels like these generate a much stronger, more stabilizing centrifugal force. Tiny wheels don't generate as much centrifugal force, plus the center of gravity is high on a standup scooter. This gives all the weight a longer lever to counteract any centrifugal force increasing instability. Manufacturers should be heading in this direction. I'd like to see the tires a little wider as well.

@@SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan Hi Dan, thanks for the reply. It means a lot. I lived in San Rafael on and off for over 30 years. Moved out to North Carolina permanently a year and a half ago and have some great, new conditioned roads to ride on. Low traffic, maybe some golf carts, that's about it. I thought I'd get an electric SOMETHING to cruise the neighborhood with. I've ridden the limes and Birds in SF, but this is different. It would be my first stand up scooter and the City has my eye. I have an engineering background, so I have an idea how certain forces work on a vehicle like these scooters. None of that matters though, what matters is I'm getting on in years and will be 67 in the fall. I'm in decent shape, but still, a fall from one of these at speed could really screw me up, so I want to get a test ride on one of the more powerful scooters first and try it out. I know you can run on one single motor in the lower gear and never go faster than 20 mph. I've got to explore this. Any recommendations for gear? I have my motorcycle helmet to use, but how about elbow pads, knee pads. What's the best? Sorry for blabbing so much. I appreciate your reply. Take care bud.

I am a solid AlpineStar Gear wearer. I have tested and proven this Gear to really protect its wearers whenever they go down. It has saved me time and time again. Even this last fall where I had to get my first surgery. I usually walk away with no broken bones or damaged tendons, ligaments, skin, or muscle (usually higher speed falls) but this one slow speed fall did just what they do (deliver the worst injuries).
I highly recommend AlpineStar Safety Gear, it cost more than mist but also works better than most, and offer the best comfort.
You're also right, in that you can set or dial in most Power Beast Scooters to Ride at safe moderate speeds without the fear of all that power and speed catching you off guard.
The bonus in thus us that as a person gets acclimated to the Acooter they can increase power and speed to their comfort levels as they grow with it.

Hey @ErwingVargas2272... thanks for visiting Scootopia.
I hate to break this news to you Buddy but there are NO Scooters on the streets that are completely water resistant
It is advised by ALL Scooter Companies "NOT to submerge, Ride in Rain, or subject your Scooter to ANY long direct water exposure"
Scooters have experienced serious electrical shorts, damaged batteries, damaged Motors, and dry rot issues.
The water ratings you see are only for small accidental water exposure and light sprinkles of water. Not intended to be ridden in and thru puddles of water or exposed to any sustained water.
Even without those small water ratings... Dualtrons are still the best built, most durable and the most powerful and fastest Scooters on the Streets.
I would not put too much stock in those small water ratings if I were you. We still have a long way if any... to go BEFORE ANY SCOOTER is water PROOF!!
Most of the water ratings pertain to certain parts of the Scooters mentioned... like the display, wires dashboard components.

      @SCOOTOPIAbyOhManDan  ปีที่แล้ว

I get your point@@erwingvargas2272... trust me when I tell you that companies put those ratings on their products because they know people don't fully understand the insignificance of it on certain items. Like on cellphones that Rating means a lot but not on Scooters because it doesn't address the value of water proofing in the minds of Scooter Consumers.
We want water proofing so bad that if anyone mentions the smallest amount of surface protection we get lost in the sauce of "COVERED" and it just isn't Covered in the slightest amount.
I just wanna be upfront with you Buddy. I am hoping that someone has a dream that Solves this for us and we wake up one day with a fully submersible water proof Scooter. That's the HOPE of us all for sure. It may happen because human beings are the most creative beings on the planet.
